Sleeping around the world | Suitable for both business and leisure—Chengdu’s first Renaissance Hotel
During the 2024 spring trip to Chengdu with my bestie, we stayed at the first Renaissance Hotel in Chengdu for two days.
The hotel was jointly built by Marriott International and Sichuan's first local investment group and officially opened in 2014. It is located in Tongzilin, the main commercial, entertainment and shopping area of Chengdu, in the heart of Renmin South Road, on the north side of Tianfu Interchange, close to Metro Line 1, and close to popular attractions such as the Giant Panda Research Center, Wuhou Temple and International Exhibition Center. It is convenient and fast for travel, suitable for both business and leisure.
I didn't realize it's already 10 years old...
Looking outside the door, the towering buildings and the cool-looking UFO lights are enough to shock me~
Walking into the lobby was even more eye-catching. Whether it was the huge crystal chandelier above my head or the red F1 racing car on the wall, this invisible sense of oppression... everything showed its grandeur. Although it is not a short time old, your big brother is still your big brother~ Don't say I am not young. The donut punch-in wall at the end of the elevator hall (it looks like a panda mosaic from a distance~ The donuts can be taken off and used as decompression toys 👍), together with the bold, fashionable and colorful designs mentioned above, demonstrates the connotation of modern aesthetics and is definitely attractive to young people.
This time we stayed in a Premier Twin Room.
I like the large French windows on this side of the room overlooking the city.
The bathroom has double basins, separate wet and dry areas, and a bathtub, which makes it convenient for my sister and I to use it at the same time.
The R restaurant is still friendly and kind. The Perrier Plus soft drinks, special cakes, thick yogurt, and welcome fruits are overflowing~
Love the hand-drawn and hand-written panda cards! The front is a landscape picture of famous attractions in Chengdu, and a map of surrounding attractions is also provided.
When I came back from the night surf, the night bed was already made, the curtains, lights, slippers, and drinking water were all ready, and there was also a local specialty peanut crisp ~ I just thought it was cute when I saw it ~
The dining experience at Renaissance Taipei was the most impressive part for me. It’s not that it’s luxurious, but it’s definitely thoughtful.
The spacious, comfortable, stylish and elegant lobby lounge R Lounge on the first floor offers a wide variety of food options including coffee afternoon tea, cocktails, freshly squeezed juices, salads, desserts, etc.
See other notes for more details about breakfast and afternoon tea in the lobby bar.
The second floor Renaissance Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant that specializes in modern Sichuan cuisine and authentic snacks, and is suitable for private gatherings or business banquets.
The executive lounge on the 29th floor is also a place I love very much. On the one hand, I love its transparent, bright, spacious and comfortable environment during the day, and on the other hand, I like its catering and generous service.
The weather in Chengdu was really good today! Looking out from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lounge makes people feel relaxed and refreshed.
The lounge offers guests an international buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
During the day, there are fruits, nuts, chocolate, cakes, juice, soft drinks, etc. ~ The evening is relatively richer ~
Anyway, this first Renaissance sleep trial in Chengdu was also quite perfect and satisfying. I heard that it has plans to continue to optimize and improve, so it will get better and better~❤️
