Greenery within the city of Manila is of great need. Big or small as long as people enjoyed and took shelter for a while is really a help. Japanese garden in Maria Orosa does have the Japanese touch. Although some looked for anything beautiful and this is already nice and beautiful some still find flaws. Thanks for the effort of making this garden for everyone. It can be crowded because the populace needed some cooler ambiance. So let us make the most of it. I like it here for a while taking the cooler garden effect.

This garden is annexed with the Rizal park and is a nice place to spend some time. The artificial garden includes water bodies, chinese proverbs, tress and a statue of confusious. It seems it has lost its charm of late. But i relaxed next to the waters with the sound of birds here. I like the Chinese Arch, small fountain and pagoda, Took several pictures here! Cool peaceful garden. No fees are collected, unlike before. I appreciate the covered walkway, albeit shorter than the one in the New Summer Palace in Peking, where Chinese idioms are seen (in Chinese characters, pinyin, and English) This area is separated by a zigzag concrete bridge.

When I was young, I was told that this place is the meeting place of most lovers including my parents when they were still living in Manila. There are benches around the area so you can just stay there all you want. Just few hundreds of meters away is another attraction called National Museum. Trivia. Rizal Park has lots of interesting stuff to see, without any one attraction being mind-boggling or spectacular. There are museums, gardens, orchidarium and countless statues and monuments. For me, the big selling point was trees, grass and a bit of nature. It’s a good place to wind down in and step back from the urban chaos, while also being a nice add-on to a trip to nearby Intramuros or Manila Ocean Park, Fort Santiago and Manila Cathedral.
