Robertson Quay
#singapore place to chill is here at Kanpai 789 Robertson Quay. Price is very affordable and nice snacks available too. Many choice of alcoholic beverages. I came here to spend good time with my friends. Service is quite slow but ok. The servers are very attentive. Meals not available during afternoon time, more like light bites. Better come here in the evening.

Riverside dining
Along the Singapore river at Robertson Quay, there is a collection of restaurants called The Quayside. It has an al fresco feel to the place as it is largely open air but sheltered. You can feel the windyness while dining in the restaurants. Many different types of cuisine to choose from, like western, Chinese or Japanese. Nice place to bring your partner for quality romantic time together.

Kan Sushi
#staycation
My berry loft-cation at Studio M Hotel and I want to show you this super crowded Japanese restaurant, Kan Sushi. It is at the Village Residence Robertson Quay, on the ground floor of the apartment. There were many people on Saturday and there was a mini Japanese fair too. This place is pretty well-known for their omakase and you have to make reservations in advance. You also can see dogs dining here too, sitting in their outdoor areas. Almost all the eateries along Robertson Quay are dog-friendly and it is a place crowded with dogs.

Discover this Reed Sculpture
#staycation
My berry loft-cation at Studio M Hotel and I want to show you #artshunting around here. You will not be able to spot it at first, this 6.5 metres bronze sculpture is among the greenery. It is in fact a musical instrument which can produce music from the wind. It draws elements from wind and water and combines into an art form. It is also apt to place it along Robertson Quay alongside Singapore River too. You will be able to hunt for more artworks in this area and you can go on foot or by bicycle.

This was a fitness and yoga studio at Robertson Quay. A friend brought me along to try it out with their free trial. It was a nice and trendy looking fitness gym. I did not sign up for their package since I was here to try out. I heard from my friend that this fitness studio was closed down recently. Their business concept was to let their members pick their own lessons instead of signing up for an annual package. So it means that you can buy a bundle of classes each time you are here. They had a great mixture of classes and their studios were newly renovated. They might reopen with another name soon.

Flowering season
I always think that we deserve the garden city title with our curated and strategic planting in Singapore. There are so much green once you arrive at Changi Airport. There are trees and gardens all around our tiny island. This also contributes to having cleaner air too. Some of our planted trees are flowering types too. Especially for these pink flowers. If you have an aerial view, these flowering plants are usually planted together in clusters. If not, among the other trees. There is this flowering plant right outside Social M Hotel at Robertson Quay, always with beautiful pink flowers.

Landscaping at Robertson Quay
It is like a mini garden by the bay here at Robertson Quay. Not only are there trees planted by the National park board. All the apartments in this area also invested in their landscaping. When you are surrounded by so many trees here, you will feel cooler and it is also easier to take a stroll along the river. I like to highlight this particular landscaping with trees planted in the centre of the staircase. There are rows of trees planted in the centre of the staircase, making it look like the trees are like the dividers. At the same time, I also have to let you know about mosquitoes issues in this environment too. So please take precaution and protect yourself against mosquitoes.

Autumn inspired
I spent my Halloween weekend at Robertson Quay and it was as lively as always. This time, all the restaurants along the Singapore river are out in full force. No restrictions and with the tourists coming in, you can see and hear loud music at the pubs and restaurants. Most of them are decorated with pumpkins, skeletons and all sorts of Halloween items. Then this is this particular Japanese restaurant which has autumn leaves all over their alfresco dining section. They also have autumn special menu on promotion. I hope their promotion will not end so soon.

Delicious cocktails & drinks with no tax🍹🦑
📍3 Peas cocktail bar — 7 Rodyk St, #01-30, Watermark 238215.
This is one of my go to cocktail bar when Im having a chill drinks with my friends, located at the watermark @ robertson quay. The 3 Peas is a quaint outdoor cocktail bar that sell delicious crafted cocktails, bottled beers & even draft pints for affordable prices.
The best part about this bar is that they do not charge service & gst % so everything is nett prices which is amazing! They have great beer bucket deal too. I always opt to sit outdoors as you get to face the gorgeous river.
A slight con is that their bar bites are not the best, the flavours are abit off for their mains and only their sides are decent.

Fitness Enthusiasts Assemble!
Singapore is filled with many outdoor activities, like go kart at kranji, hiking activities at Mount faber or bukit timah Hill or a stroll in busy downtown orchard.
There is a park connector connecting from Alexandra - Zion Road - Robertson Quay - Clarke Quay to Marina Bay sands. Entire PCN completed roughly around 2018 where there is a vast array of fitness and play equipment for all ages, providing endless fun for the young and old.
Since its newly build, its well paved and roads are rather smooth with some ups and downs into tunnel crossing. The Alexandra Canal Linear Park Connector starts from queenstown MRT and is a bicycle, skater and dog friendly connector.
My recommendation for people who do not have bicycles or skates to have a stroll down this connector towards Robertson quay and have a great brunch with family and friends. Exercise to Eat is my kinda ideal weekend for sure!

Cafe Hopping With Scenic River View
Every corner in Singapore is filled with good food. From traditional local Singaporean food to restaurants and cafes.
There is a stretch in quiet Robertson Quay called the quayside that's filled with tons of cafes. From good coffees, to amazing brunches to even wood fire pizza and even japanese yakitori. Most of the cafes open early morning at 7.30, even on weekdays. My favourite one to go to for freshly roasted aromatic coffee is Toby Estate but it does get crowded by 815 on weekends especially(mostly filled with cyclists) so do head down early! For good brunches there is prive, beast and the butterflies or even bomerang(australian cafe).
Robertson Quay is also popular among couples in the evening, allowing nice romantic strolls by the river, bridges and trees lighting up with decor and many restaurants there alsp open from 12noon till 10pm and some even later on weekends.
The entire stretch is a bicycle friendly, dog friendly place as well. So head down for both an enjoyable brunch or dinner at Robertson Quay!
FYI, also this is also a popular staycation place for many locals. Look up at hotels like studio M, M social or intercontinental hotel if you are keen for a weekend staycay.

Birthday & Ladies Night @ Publico 🥂
My favourite italian place in singapore, this is a must visit when you're around the area. Great for birthdays, ladies night and dinner dates, or just catching up with your friends. Their portion here are huge so its worth the price you're paying for.
Not only that, the food is amazing and very authentic. This is my go to place for comfort food and ladies night (ps. every Wednesday they do free flow drinks for ladies 3 hours at only 42++) Do book in advance cause they're always fully book, they do accept walk-ins if you're lucky
Celebrated my birthday here, and they gave me a free tiramisu cake! Its so cute, it comes in a little tiny pot 😍

Landmarks along Robertson Quay

Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview
Address: 382 Havelock Rd, Singapore 169629
A few landmarks to take note while walking down the Singapore River at Robertson Quay. They are Mirage Tower, King’s Centre, Jiak Kim Street Godowns (The Warehouse Hotel), Jiak Kim Bridge, Rodyk Street Godowns, Robertson Bridge and River View Hotel. All these landmarks give Robertson Quay its charm. Singapore River is a combination of Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. It promotes riverfront living by combining residential, hotels, shops, restaurants and institutions together. Plus to promote a car-free zone, river boats options are available to sail along the Singapore River. Many bridges are constructed to shorten walking distances. Best of all, a barrier-free zone for cyclists and wheelchair users too.

Night walk along S’pore River & Alkaff Bridge
Take a respite away from your hectic lifestyle with an evening walk along Singapore River and visit the Alkaff Bridge at Robertson Quay. It is exceptionally beautiful at night when the lights along the Singapore River and Alkaff Bridge are turned on. ✨
You can expect to see others walking their dogs, cycling or having a run on the payment along the river. Also, visit the bars nearby for a nightlife experience at Robertson Quay.
How to get there - If you’re taking public transport, alight at Fort Canning MRT station and walk towards Robertson Quay. You will expect to see many different restaurants, bars and cafes. Walk pass these food establishments and you will see the Singapore River. Next, turn right and you will see the Alkaff Bridge after a short walk.
Food options - Many food options ranging from Italian, Korean and Western favourites. The Italian restaurants serve amazing food. I have tried Bella pizza and Lucca’s Trattoria. Not forgetting the popular cafe, Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters for brunch, lunch or a cup of coffee in the afternoon.
What’s nearby - Take a leisurely scenic walk to reach Clarke Quay.

Nature park at Robertson Quay
Address - Robertson Quay
Located along the iconic Singapore River, Robertson Quay is one of the wharfs that have been converted into a mixed residential and commercial area. Recently, renovation was done to incorporate cycling paths beside pedestrian paths along with this beautiful park!
There are lots of different cafes and restaurants along this stretch serving up a variety of cuisines, so you won’t have to worry about where to fuel up! This park makes for a nice relaxing walk or cycle given the river view you get to enjoy along the way.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

M Social, Singapore
This is my first time staying at M Social and I am very impressed and pleasant with my stay! Although the location isn’t very accessible, everything else the hotel had to offer made up for it 😂
The check-in process was very fast & smooth, we were in our room in a matter of minutes. At the point of booking, the hotel offered early check-in (11am) and late check-out (4pm) which we greatly appreciated & took full advantage of! Not to mention, a box of Pralines were gifted to us and a 20% off voucher for the hotel’s restaurant, Beast & Butterflies located next door.
The room is cozy & clean. The view was obstructed by a Condominium but it didn’t really bothered us. Overall, a fantastic stay & would highly recommend! 👍🏻

Candy colored Alkaff Bridge
The rainbow or candy colored Alkaff Bridge links both sides of the #robertsonquay areas together forming a bridge across the #singapore river.
This pedestrian bridge is very pretty and well maintained and is right in front of The Quayside, and it improves foot traffic and linkage between two different areas for pedestrians, cyclists and joggers.
Aside from its functional use, it presents a great photo opportunity with its brightly colored architecture that you cannot miss even from afar.
Do check it out if you are in the area, to get there catch the buses that go near Robertson quay or you could drive, jog or cycle there too.

The Quayside - Great chill out food place
The Quayside at #robertsonquay in #singapore is a great place to hang out and chill out and have some nice #food
It has a peaceful vibe and is spacious and is set beside the Singapore river and offers great views of the river. There are so many food options there from Western/pub food like Harry’s to Mexican like Super Loco, Spanish like Tapas 24, Chinese or Asian or Seafood like Long Beach or Japanese like Aburiya, just to name a few nice and famous places.
It is easy to get there by buses that goes by Robertson Quay and alternatively people also do jog and cycle there too as there are nice long jogging and cycling paths. Do check it out if you are in the vicinity!

Robertson quay - Scenic Walk
#robertsonquay in #singapore is a great place for a scenic #walk or #jog or #bike along the #river and also a great place to hang out for food and drinks.
Aside from the many hotel restaurants like a Beast and Butterflies and Po for example, you can also have meals or drinks at restaurants like Baa Baa Black Sheep, #cafe Toby’s Estate or Botany to name a few.
Continue down the river and you will reach Great World City Mall.
To get there - there are plenty of buses too, for example bus 5 goes there from Orchard Road.

Ambiance/Facilities - this is a warm and cosy yet beautifully decorated restaurant located in the busy area of Singapore City. They serve authentic Spanish Cuisines base on the iconic Barcelonian concept, from dishes to desserts in the choices. We ordered some of the chef recommended dishes, all are really delicious.
Avg. Price per Person - affordable price.

Cafes by the Singapore river
✔️ Robertson Quay
📍 Nansen Road, Singapore
Just along the Singapore River is where you can find Robertson Quay, a district with lots of hip cafes, bars and eateries. This area also has a nice park connector path that runs right by the river, a pretty tranquil place in the day with nature scenes, people jogging and cycling, and dogs being taken for walks.
The hotels here like The Warehouse Hotel, M Social and InterContinental Robertson Quay generally have rooms with a good view of the river but these are the more expensive higher category rooms. Stop by any of the restaurants to grab a drink and refuel if needed, the more well-known ones are Botany as well as Beast & Butterflies.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

[Explore SG] Staycay at M Hotel
#freehotelstay #singapore #hotelreview During the pandemic, it was common to WFH, only my H refers to Hotel instead of Home. Picking a weekday without meetings, we headed over for a short staycation at M Hotel, along Robertson Quay.
While I love the location and its proximity to fancy restaurants and cafes lining along the quay and being just one underpass away from Great World City, the room left much to be desired. It was pretty small and rather cramp, and I couldn’t even find a decent spot to do my work. I also don’t really understand the placement of the wash basin outside the toilet.
Alas, I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel for a comfy stay, but if your priority is convenience, you could give this hotel a try.

Fitness Park
Address: River Valley Green, Singapore 237993
Greenery by the River, this is the concept for having Kim Seng Park along Singapore River. It is a playgarden and fitness corner for the residents. Even though the residents have their condo facilities, this is another option for them too. Else, the nearby public housing residents can use the facilities at Kim Seng Park too. Plus, the jogging/cycling tracks along the river are very popular. So please keep to speed limits and always give way to pedestrians.
At the playgarden, there are swings, tree stump hopping and sand pits available. It is also a popular place for the doggies too.
At the fitness corner, the equipment has been fixed to the ground and they are in good condition. You can work out here after your jog, breathe in fresh river air and enjoy the views.
