The railway company also occasionally organizes various parent-child activities and special trains, such as Christmas trains and Halloween trains, adding to the fun of the ride. Children are always thrilled to see the yellow trains and eagerly pose for photos with them. There are many attractions and photo spots worth visiting along the Shimabara Railway line. Starting from Isahaya Station, you can visit Isahaya Park, which features beautiful flowers and a tranquil lake, making it a great place to relax. Moving forward, near Aino Station, you can visit Aino Park, which is especially enchanting during the cherry blossom season and is an excellent spot for photography. Continuing further, you can reach the Ariake Coast, where the sea view is spectacular, especially at sunset when the golden sunlight reflects on the sea, creating a picturesque scene. The restaurant mainly serves udon and soba, but my personal recommendation is the set beef bowl or eel bowl. You can choose a combination of soba beef or udon eel. This is the best. I ordered the beef bowl set with stewed udon with plenty of vegetables, called Kusabuki udon, and udon beef. The beef bowl has a sweet flavor unique to Kyushu. The stewed udon has a calming taste, with the flavor permeating both the vegetables and the udon. The balance is simply perfect, and you are guaranteed to be satisfied after eating. Public transportation is not very convenient, so you will have to access the restaurant by car, but the food and the atmosphere make it worth visiting.
