[2025 Munich Stay] Travel Guide for Rosewood Munich (Updated May)

Rarely to Europe, especially with a baby, anyway, have to stay a few nights in a beautiful hotel. This trip to Germany was a few nights in Rosewood Munich, which was definitely a highlight of our trip. Although the hotel architecture has a sense of historical age, the interior design can be stylish. This time I was lucky enough to stay in the balcony suite that was upgraded to the highest floor. The suite is of course spacious, and even has space for a hallway, with a living room, bedroom, giant wardrobe, dressing table... Since it was the peak season when we went, the staff was very proactive in offering drinks and refreshments although it took a little time to wait for check-in. The hotel staff was very friendly, interacted with the baby frequently, took the initiative to help the baby take pictures, took many beautiful photos, the mother expressed very satisfied. Rosewood accommodation includes menu all-you-can-eat a la carte breakfast, the food quality and service experience was very good, so we paid extra for a few more meals. The Charles Hotel Munich, which opened last year, was formerly the Bavarian Bank. It perfectly combines the classic Baroque style of the historic building with modern elements. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the classic attraction New Town Hall, and next to a luxury shopping street, so it's quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The hotel only has one restaurant, Cuvillies, where I had breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, all of which were very good. I'll write another note about it. The rooms on the top floor facing the street have terraces, which are naturally a must-see room type. This time I booked a Deluxe Suite with a terrace. I could have upgraded to a Prestige Suite, but the Prestige Suite with a terrace was sold out that day, leaving only the Prestige Suite without a terrace. After comparing the two, I decided to keep the Deluxe Suite with a terrace without upgrading. Like other Rocco Forte hotels, the living room is filled with various decorations and artworks in a small room, and the bedroom focuses on the size and comfort of the bedding, making the whole room feel warm and comfortable. Because the best two views are reserved for the living room and bedroom, the bathroom is a dark bathroom without windows. In addition, some room types have windows and views in the bathroom, but the living room does not have windows, so be careful.

When I came back to visit Munich, I chose the Rosewood Hotel Munich, which opened less than three months ago. This time I stayed in two Deluxe Suite one-bedroom suites. The layout of the two suites is slightly different, but the overall area is more than 60 square meters. The suites have separate living rooms, bedrooms, cloakrooms, dressing tables, etc., but neither suite is designed with a guest bathroom. The room is very exquisite, with many knickknacks and books, in line with the magnificent style. There are a wide variety of minibars in the room, but they all require payment. The coffee machine in the suite is a customized leather bag and is also equipped with a rare milk warmer, which is the same as the magnificent configuration in Vienna. The speaker in the suite is Marshall Kilburn, and the sound quality is very good. The cloakroom has two large luggage tables and two rows of wardrobes, which can store a lot of things. There is also a Dyson hair dryer on the dressing table in the middle. The towels in the bathroom are thick, of good quality and fully equipped. However, the toilets in this magnificent hotel are not smart, and the water pressure in the shower room is relatively low. Another disadvantage is that the switch control of the room lights and curtains is very inconvenient and not easy to operate. Except for room service, the hotel's services are all very good. The front desk was very nice, and there was a welcome drink at check-in. The guy who introduced the hotel and room facilities after check-in was also the most meticulous we encountered. The waiters in the restaurant are also very attentive and attentive. The only bad thing about the hotel service is the room service. When I turn down, I just lift the quilt and put some water in the bed, and I don't put away the used cups and tableware. And one day after we asked them to clean the room on WhatsApp, we returned to the hotel at night and found that the room was not cleaned at all. Called them over and they initially said they had cleaned it at 10am. Maybe it's because it's a new hotel so it's not very mature yet? They often miss things when cleaning the room, such as cups and towels. This magnificent restaurant is really delicious. None of the dishes ordered for dinner were outstanding, they were all delicious. Everything at breakfast was delicious, but there weren't many choices and they were all Western style. The location of the hotel is very good, right in the center of the old city, walking distance from various attractions, and only a 5-minute walk from Famous Street. Overall, this is an excellent Rosewood hotel, from hardware to software (except room cleaning). This is definitely your first choice when you come to Munich!
