The Royal Chapel is an exquisite building completed before the Cathedral of Granada in the first half of the 16th century. Now it and the Cathedral of Granada form a more popular cultural scenic spot in the city center. According to Queen Isabel's last words, the chapel houses the coffins of two Catholic popes. The most worth seeing place is the golden iron fence bedroom (Mausoleo) in the center of the chapel. The two pairs of marble pedestal-shaped tombstones standing side by side are clearly visible. The family crest, saints, angels and lions are carved and decorated, which is magnificent. In the underground coffin room, there is also an eye-catching small coffin, nestled beside the four simple coffins, which is the coffin of Prince Miguel, the grandson of Isabel who died at an early age.

When I visited the Alhambra, I also had the chance to visit Granada's Royal Chapel and walk around the city a bit.
The streets of Granada are very beautiful with many European-style buildings. I personally recommend the streets of Andalusia over Barcelona.
Photography is prohibited inside the Royal Chapel, so I only have pictures of the exterior.
The inside of the chapel was also very beautiful.
It was only for a short time, but I was glad to be able to buy a cute drawstring bag as a souvenir. It was about 3,000 yen in Japanese yen!

A gem next to the cathedral
Andalucia Tour ~ Granada
If you walk through the city center to the right of the main facade of the Cathedral you will find this gem. From 6pm to 8pm, you can enter without any problems if there is no religious ceremony. It is of late Gothic or Elizabethan style and was built in 1504 by order of the Catholic kings as a burial place for their remains.
The most interesting place is the mausoleum. The work of the Florentine sculptor Domenico Fancelli, the figures of the two monarchs are reclining. The king is dressed in full armor and cloak, holding a sword in both hands. The Queen is depicted in a simple manner, with her hands resting lightly on her body. There are two lions under the monarch's feet, symbolizing royal power and vigilance.
They have a dress code at the entrance but you can dress as you want, they don't force you to follow it. As soon as you enter, there is a QR code that teaches you to download an application, which contains a lot of information about the entire visit (download is recommended).

Granada is the most romantic place in Spain
Granada is the capital of the province of Granada in the autonomous region of Andalucía, Spain. The climate in the mountainous areas is cold, and the highest peak on the Iberian Peninsula, Mount Murasen, with an altitude of 3,481 meters, is located among them.
This is a city that is both walkable and imaginative. The artistic brilliance displayed in historical sites and the blurred beauty of water and light in fountains, ponds and parks are a delight to the eye. The city's narrow streets contrast with its gorgeous gardens.
🍴You can eat very special food in the bustling city streets, and you can feel the freedom of leisure in the outdoor courtyard at Restaurant Sibarius. Go to Restaurant Lemon Rock and have a few drinks with your friends ~ with steaming snacks, you can have a romantic night! There are many Internet celebrity food shops on the street where you can buy them.
⛪️In the city, you can visit the Royal Cathedral Capilla Real and climb the roofs of the Catedral de
Go to Granada to overlook the city and the snow-capped mountains🏔️. The street market below Alcaicería is full of Arabic style, even a bit like the Muslim Street in Xi'an~
In the evening, you can go to Albayzin, which is an iconic neighborhood full of living spaces for artists and young people. From the observation deck, you can overlook the Alhambra Palace. Dinner time at Carmen Mirador de Aixa is absolutely romantic ~ With the lights of the Alhambra Palace on ~ this is the Spanish night it should be ~
After dinner, enjoy a Flamenco Show at Sacromonte Venta El Gallo. This is a beautiful day in Granada.

A testimony of the Renaissance period~ Granada Royal Chapel
The Granada Royal Chapel is located in the center of the old town of Granada, built between 1505 and 1517. The Catholic monarch hoped to be buried in Granada after his death, hence the chapel was born. Therefore, the chapel can also be said to be the tomb of the Catholic ruler.
The entire building is in Gothic style, with a Latin cross layout with a rear hall and choir position, ribbed vaults and decorations protruding from the upper part of the wall. The most prominent feature inside the chapel is the Renaissance furnace grid located in the ear hall, the Catholic monarch, the cemetery, and the Holy Cross altar. Here lie Queen Isabella I of Castile, King Ferdinand II of Aragon, their daughter Queen Joanna of Castile and Leon, her husband King Philip I of Castile, and their grandson Prince Miguel of Asturias.
The sacristy has a small but impressive museum. It houses Fernando's sword and Isabella's scepter, silver crown and portraits, tapestries, Baroque sculptures and paintings, mainly works by 15th-century Flemish, Italian and Spanish painters, including Rogier van der Weyden, Dieric Bouts, Botticelli, Perugino and Bartolome Bermejo.
