When visiting the Royal Selangor Museum, it is recommended to book an official guided tour online in advance, or you can also register on site. This free guided tour will help you get to know Royal Selangor better.
The museum is divided into 4 parts: museum, factory, workshop and shop. The museum introduces the development process of Royal Selangor, displays their works and introduces the properties of pewter. The factory is where they produce their products. Because they are hand-made, you can clearly see the step-by-step process of making beer cups from raw materials. However, there was no work on Sunday when I went there. It is recommended to visit on weekdays. Have a better experience. There are two workshops. One allows you to use traditional tools to make small tin plates and take away your own products. The other allows you to experience casting, polishing and other processes to make your own beer glasses. The workshop requires reservation in advance and is available on weekdays. More. The prices are approximately $135 and $325HKD respectively. The store is just like other Royal Selangor branches but there will be some museum exclusive products.
