The Rusutsu Ski Resort in Hokkaido has the impressive and unforgettable "RuPow" dry and dense powder snow, with a icing-like snow quality that is very enjoyable to ski on! This time I chose to visit Hokkaido during the Christmas holidays. The resort was like the United Nations, full of tourists from all over the world, and there was a festive atmosphere. In addition, the resort has everything you need, with many restaurants to choose from, including the famous Burton ski shop, colorful convenience store, liquor store, izakaya, Chinese restaurant, and the super all-you-can-eat snow crab and wagyu buffet, etc. Finally, the hot spring room on the 6th floor is semi-open-air, and soaking in the snow is the ultimate bliss in life! ! ! You can't experience it unless you go there in person.

I stopped by a cafe on the second floor of a hotel next to Rusutsu Resort😊 They also had bread and other light meals, but I had just had lunch so I only had a caramel latte🙆♀️ The lady at the hotel recommended a matcha Frappuccino, but it was raining and cold so I couldn't drink a Frappuccino so I went for the caramel recommended by the lady at the cafe! I was able to drink it warm and it was just the right amount of sweet and delicious! Next time I'll go when it's warm and drink a Frappuccino🥺 The staff were also very nice and it was a nice cafe with a relaxing atmosphere! Try snowball fighting in Rusutsu resorts

Known as a real-life fairy tale world, Rusutsu Resort, which has been awarded 'Japan's Best Ski Resort' by the 'World Ski Awards' four times, is only a 90-minute drive from the airport and Sapporo. It features 3 major accommodation facilities, 3 peaks, and 37 ski runs, making it a sought-after destination for ski enthusiasts from home and abroad. Considering facilities for family skiing and also catering to dads who want to ski through the woods; the ski-in, ski-out resort we chose is perfect for kids, as it's zero distance from the resort hotel to the ski slopes. The resort also offers a rich variety of activities and dining options. We also took a little train to another Westin hotel (the mountain scenery there is nice). The beginner slopes here are no problem for our kids to ski on their own. For families with children who can't ski yet, or can't spend a lot of time on the slopes, we recommend Crayon Shin-chan Square. The gentle slopes are perfect for snow tubing, snow biking, snowmobiling, dog sledding, horseback riding, and ice fishing, but all require advance reservations as they are very popular at this time. The hotel's free double-decker carousel is very popular with children; hot springs, indoor wave pools, projection mapping, and light shows offer many therapeutic activities when we're not skiing.

It has an amusement park, three hot spring baths, and many gourmet restaurants. However, my favorite is the double-decker carousel at the entrance and the Oktober Fest Buffet, where I can eat my fill of plump crab legs. ✅Oktober Fest Buffet Due to the climate in Hokkaido, the season only changes once a year, which means that all the nutrients and delicacies bloom at once. The fruits and vegetables are particularly sweet, so the salad bar is as popular as the crab leg bar. Every piece is fresh, crispy and sweet, and is very tasty even without sauce. The most not to be missed are the crab legs, which are replenished from time to time so you don't have to worry about eating too many of them. Based on my previous experience with all-you-can-eat crab legs in Japanese hotels, the Rusutsu crab legs are quite plump, and they are very sincere in providing both cold and grilled options. Otherwise, the crab legs will be very greasy if eaten alone after thawing. The scallops are also very large, but unfortunately they look a bit ugly when grilled. ✅ Carousel I played it three times without shame, it was like reliving my childhood. ✅Environment There are three hotels in the complex, with European-style decoration somewhat similar to E-DA. There are many tourist attractions nearby, including Lake Toya and Mt. Yotei. ✅Large public bath The three hotels are slightly different. I recommend taking a hot spring bath on the sixth floor of the North Building, which has an open-air bath and a cave bath. I also recommend the massage room at the entrance, the price is very good, 5,500 yen for 40 minutes, not more expensive than outside the resort, and cheaper than the massage price in Taiwan hotels.

There are more than 30 restaurants in entire amusement park, resort and hotel area. While we were there in summer, the garden is filled with flowers and there is daily light show and musical fountain. Those who enjoy onsen, they have you covered as well. Parking is free.
