Natural scenery
The 210-meter-long stream waterfall is divided into two by huge rocks near the waterfall pool, which is very beautiful. Tokoku rhododendrons from May to June, and autumn leaves from late September to early October, as well as Komori red leaves, are superb views. There is a hiking trail that takes about 40 minutes to and from Yongtou Waterfall. You can walk while watching the waterfall and enjoy the fresh breath of nature.

Nikko Autumn Leaves | A Rainy Day Transforms into an Autumn Wonderland
This autumn, I went on a road trip to Nikko with friends.
We happened to encounter a rainy day. Initially, we thought our plan to capture the autumn leaves would be ruined, but the rainy weather added a unique atmosphere to the scenery.
The autumn leaves on a rainy day, combined with the mist lingering in the mountains, perfectly complemented Lake Chuzenji. In the rain, Chuzenji Temple, nestled halfway up the mountain and surrounded by autumn leaves, looked like a place where deities reside.
Here is the route we took for reference:
Nikko City ➡️ Second Irohazaka (uphill) ➡️ Akechidaira Observatory (waterfall view) ➡️ Lake Chuzenji (boating) ➡️ British Embassy Villa Memorial Park, Italian Embassy Villa Memorial Park ➡️ Chuzenji Temple (beautiful autumn leaves halfway up the mountain) ➡️ Coffee House Yukon (a café with stunning autumn leaves) ➡️ Ryuzu Waterfall ➡️ First Irohazaka (downhill)
If you have more time, you can also hike to the Hangetsuyama Observatory to overlook the autumn leaves of Hachigane Island 🍁

Ryuzu - Dragon Head Waterfall
#fallishere
I'm amazed all over again! 😍 Take a look at this waterfall. Doesn't it resemble something? Yes, it is dragon-like appearance.
Ryuzu means Dragon Head, and they have a dragon fighting a tiger sculpture outside.
You can come see the view for free, and there is a small souvenir shop and cafe.
If you want, you can also walk along the river!
We drove here, but you can also take the Tobu bus.
