Covering an area of 200 hectares, the Sabah Agricultural Park is part of the 1,500-acre Rakushpalang Agricultural Research Station under the administration and management of the Sabah Department of Agriculture. The Sabah Agricultural Park, which is divided into many gardens, lakes and farms, is a colorful paradise for exotic flowers and plants, rare birds and animals. Among the many gardens, the ornamental plant garden is the hot spot that attracts the crowd. As a natural paradise, 21 mini gardens are planned in the garden, such as bougainvillea garden, hibiscus garden and lotus pond. Flowers are often in bloom in individual gardens, and browsing through them one by one is like being in a sea of flowers, which is intoxicating and memorable. Worth a visit is the Evolution Garden, which showcases a variety of plants, including evolutionary gardens that stretch as far back as 450 million years. One of the attractive landscape areas in the park is the giant lotus pond. The huge lotus leaf floating on the surface of the pool can hold objects weighing up to 30 kilograms. This is a large-area native orchid center. The rare native orchid varieties of Borneo are planted here. It is also a center that has a complete collection of native orchids in the region. Of all the 1,500 varieties of orchids found on Borneo Island, there are 400 varieties. Found here, including the rare and endangered elephant ear orchid (Phalaenopsis gigantea). The Beekeeping Centre is also a hotspot in the park. The Natural History Unit of BBC Television, hosted by naturalist Sir David Attenborough, came from far away from the British cheerleaders to select the scene to shoot a documentary, which is enough to prove this centre 's reputation is well-deserved.
