#cherryblossom25 In the morning, I boarded a bus heading toward Itoshima. As we neared the shrine, there were only a few of us left swaying quietly inside the bus 🚍🍃. The first stop was Sakurai Shrine. Even from the entrance, it felt like stepping straight into an anime scene or a Japanese movie 🎥✨. Walking through a small forest and crossing a little bridge, I came upon a majestic cherry blossom tree in full bloom. The timing was perfect — just after full bloom, when the petals start to drift in the wind. A soft flurry of sakura fell all around me like a gentle snowstorm 🌸❄️. Inside the shrine, I collected a goshuin (temple stamp) — it was simple and modest, but when pressed into my notebook, it gave a quiet, comforting sense of ceremony 🧡. After leaving the shrine, I wandered slowly along the coastline (well, it was more of a brisk 30-minute walk 😅). Eventually, I reached the Shiraito Coast torii gate standing proud against the sea 🌊⛩️. Around midday, there were few visitors — perfect for peaceful photos. Further ahead were trendy photo spots like swings and other manmade installations, but honestly, I wasn't very interested. Instead, I decided to queue early for the return bus. ⚡ Tip: The buses don’t come often — about once every 30 minutes — and even early in the afternoon, the line gets long. It takes just over an hour to return to Hakata Station, so if you're planning an afternoon or evening trip, make sure to allow some extra time for waiting! Back at Hakata Station, I grabbed my JR train ticket and made a beeline for Ramen Street inside the station 🍜🏃♀️! Around 3 PM, the famous shops like Kanetora and Shin Shin barely had any lines. The scent of rich broth and pork belly hung in the air — impossible to resist! After a struggle with my indecisiveness, I chose a random shop and ordered tonkotsu ramen with pork cutlet rice 🍜🍚 — finally fulfilling my dream of "carbs on carbs" like in Solitary Gourmet — and it was heavenly 🤤✨ #travel

The main hall, built in the Sankensha-zukuri style, features splendid decorations and, along with the worship hall and tower gate, is designated as an important cultural property by the Fukuoka Prefectural Government. The shrine enshrines deities brought from Ise Grand Shrine and Toyouke Grand Shrine. Notably, the shrine's architecture, which combines the main hall, middle hall, and worship hall in the 'Shinmei-zukuri' style, is a significant feature. Nestled in a serene mountain setting, the shrine's space is not large, but it is evident that all the buildings are made of ancient wood. At that time, I didn't have extra time and felt tired from traveling, so when I planned the itinerary this time, I planned it in without hesitation. After Itoshima, I was also hesitant about whether to go to Nokonoshima, but I thought it would be a stop on the way back to Hakata, so I went there. I didn't regret it! ! To go to Itoshima, first take the Fukuoka Metro Airport Line "Chikuzen-Maehara" train. You don't need to get off at Meinohama Station to transfer. Get off at "JR Kyudaigentoshi Station" and then transfer to the Showa Bus. You should check the timetable before going out. The first stop I went to was Sakurai Shrine. After getting off the bus, it took about 10-15 minutes to walk. There were desolate areas in between. After visiting Sakurai Shrine, I took a bus to Futamigaura Meow and Werewo Rock, a torii in the sea. Sakurai Shrine: Get off at "Sakurai Station" on the Showa Bus Maybe there were fewer tourists then, so it was very quiet and comfortable inside. The couple of gods are enshrined, and it is said to purify, exorcise disasters, and bring about a good marriage. Futamiura Meotowa Rock: This is a beautiful rock no matter which angle you look at it from, especially when paired with the Torii Gate in the sea, it is really beautiful! ! After finishing here, I walked along the way to SUNSET, Angel Wings, palm trees, swings, and Doraemon's Anywhere Door, took some photos, and then took the bus away. Nokonoshima Island: Take the Fukuoka Metro Airport Line and get off at "Meinohama Station", then take the Nishitetsu Bus from "Meinohama Station North Exit Station", get off at "Nokono-Ferry Terminal Station", and then take the ferry to arrive. The only trip I made to Nokonoshima Island was to "Nokonoshima Island Park", and there is a bus to take after getting off the ferry. After getting off the bus, we finally arrived at Nokonoshima Island Park. Since we hadn't eaten all day, we ate at the restaurant in the island park, "Koko Udon". They had both hot and cold dishes. I ordered cold tsukemen. After eating, we slowly walked to Shiba no Hiroba, which was filled with blooming flowers and was super beautiful! ! !
