It was a day where I thought, ‘The mountain can be this pretty,’ and since it’s a course where you take a cable car up and walk, you can enjoy nature without getting tired! 🧭 How do I get there? I took the ITX from Seoul to Chuncheon Station, and then took the bus to Samaksan Lake Cable Car in front of the station. It takes about 15~20 minutes by bus? You’ll arrive quickly. The parking lot is also large, so it’s good to travel by car. 🚠 Samaksan Cable Car – Exciting Departure The cable car goes all the way up across Chuncheon Lake, and the view is just incredible. It feels like you’re floating over Chuncheon Lake… The weather was clear, so it was a perfect view✨ I bought a round-trip ticket, so it’s better to set aside plenty of time. Time flies when you go up, walk, and take pictures. 🌿 Samgaksan Skywalk & Trekking When you reach the top, you will see the skywalk right away. You can see the river and the mountain at a glance, and the floor is made of glass, so it is a little dizzying, but that is also thrilling. There are many photo spots, and the trekking course is well-made so even beginners can enjoy it without any burden. The course is a circular deck path that you can walk comfortably without any difficult uphill climbs. There are benches here and there, so it was perfect for taking a break while looking at the scenery. The calm river, deep green of the mountain, and cool breeze that are hard to find in the city are all perfect! 🍙 A simple snack is a must! There are areas where you can rest here and there, but there are not many stores. I bought triangle kimbap, coffee, and water from a convenience store in advance, and it was a really good choice. When I think of Chuncheon, in addition to Dakgalbi, the 'Potato Field' cafe and the Samaksan cable car are really hot these days. It was a perfect course because it's not too far from the city center and I could visit it in one day. ⸻ 1. Potato Field - Happiness filled with a single potato bread 🍠 From the entrance, a sentimental garden and photo zone welcomed me. The quiet and leisurely atmosphere already made me feel at ease. The most famous is, of course, potato bread! The outside is chewy and the inside is full of potatoes and butter... As soon as I took a bite, I couldn't help but exclaim, "This is the real deal." The freshly baked bread filled the cafe with a warm and savory scent. The inside of the cafe is spacious and there are also outdoor seats, so on a nice day, I highly recommend going outside. Perfect for a cup of coffee while enjoying the cool breeze of Chuncheon. ⸻ 2. Uiamho Drive – Lightly enjoying the scenery 🚗 If you move a little from the potato field, you can drive along Uiamho. The scenery of the blue lake and trees is really pretty as you drive along the road. I got off for a while to take a walk and take pictures. It was quieter than I thought, so it felt like all the stress from the city was gone! ⸻ 3. Samaksan Lake Cable Car – The best view in Chuncheon 🎢 Today’s highlight was definitely the Samaksan Cable Car! As the cable car boasts **the longest length in Korea (3.61km)**, the ride time is long and the scenery is overwhelming. I booked a crystal cabin (a glass cabin with a transparent floor), and it was a little scary but thrilling ㅎㅎ When you get to the top, there is an observation deck and a skywalk, so make sure to go up! It was so nice to see the whole city of Chuncheon and the lake at a glance. There were many viewpoints perfect for taking pictures, and dogs were allowed! 🐶
