It's the San Bernardo Cathedral in Milan. They say that the remains were stored here because there was not enough space in the adjacent cemetery. I've been to many cathedrals while traveling around Europe, but it's no exaggeration to say that this is the most unique(?) place among them. It's not a famous place among Korean tourists yet, but the admission fee is free and it's right next to the famous Milan Cathedral, so it's a good place to go without feeling burdened :)

Bernardino Alle Ossa. It looks like an ordinary chapel from the outside and there is nothing special about it. After entering the church, there are signs on the right leading to Ossario - the ossuary/prayer room. The room is not very big, but it houses as many as 2,000 skulls, and the atmosphere feels a bit solemn. Although it is small in size, it has attracted much attention for its unique interior decoration. This Baroque church was built in the 17th century in memory of the innocent children who died tragically in the plague in the early 17th century. As you enter the church, you will be deeply shocked by the ossuary in the side hall. These remains are arranged neatly, as if telling the tragic history. In the evening, the lights inside the church flicker, creating a gloomy and mysterious atmosphere that may make people feel a little creepy, but it is this unique experience that makes the Basilica of San Bernardino one of the must-see attractions in Milan.

San Bernardino alle Ossa is a church in Milan, northern Italy, best known for its ossuary, a small side chapel decorated with numerous human skulls and bones. In 1210, when an adjacent cemetery ran out of space, a room was built to hold bones. A church was attached in 1269. Renovated in 1679, it was destroyed by a fire in 1712.
