Beigou Village is full of happiness. Living in Sansan B&B makes you not want to go home
After dormant for a whole summer, I finally waited for the beginning of autumn. When the sky was high and the clouds were light, I drove to the suburbs as soon as possible. I went to Beigou Village at the foot of Mutianyu Valley, a place I had visited countless times.
Beigou Village is probably the happiest village in the suburbs of Beijing that Yilan has ever visited. The entire village is built on the mountain, with different heights. When you look up, you can see the continuous mountains and the winding Great Wall. There is a very stylish village activity center in the village, and homestays full of design sense can be seen everywhere. The streets are clean and tidy. It not only attracts many international friends to live here, but it is also a model of my ideal rural life.
The most famous places in Beigou Village are undoubtedly the Wachang Hotel, a rural heritage hotel converted from the old Liulichang, and the Sansan boutique homestay complex converted from an old gas station across the road. The design of Wachang Hotel is unique, with glazed tile elements everywhere, simple red brick buildings, and American interior decoration design mixed together, which is eye-catching. The carefully maintained lawns and courtyards, and the colorful pavement sparkle in the sun. Every time I come to the tile factory, I can't help but take hundreds of photos. Such a beautiful hotel is open to visitors during the day. You can come even if you live here. The hotel also has a public hot spring area that all guests can enjoy.
This time, Yilan stayed at the Sansan B&B next door. From the experience of staying here, it felt more gentle and quiet. Sansa B&B recreates the traditional cottage style of northern China. The stone roads connect the red brick courtyards. The guest rooms are distributed in several two-story buildings. Each room has its own small courtyard or large terrace. The atmosphere is nostalgic and warm, and walking in the courtyard always gives you a sense of home. Sitting in the shade of trees in front of the window in the afternoon, reading a book, chatting, looking through the layers of eaves, and watching the snow-white clouds rising over the green hills, this is exactly what I want for a rural holiday life.
The rooms at Sansa B&B are very large and spacious, with wooden floors and furniture, linen curtains and warm yellow lights, creating a simple yet high-end wabi-sabi style. I casually struck the ethereal drum on the table, and the melodious drum sounds echoed throughout the room. At night, the only sound in the world was the crisp chirping of crickets in the grass in the yard. For a moment, I didn't even want to go back to the hustle and bustle of the city.
For dinner, we chose to eat hot pot at Beigala Restaurant. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the meal was very satisfying. For dining options, you can also choose Yi Miao Vietnamese cuisine at San San B&B, or the Western restaurant at Wachang Hotel, which not only provides a hearty breakfast for hotel and B&B guests, but also offers Western-style meals and afternoon tea.
The next day, I reluctantly checked out and went to the Tile Art Museum in the center of the village to see an art exhibition. The art museum has a tall golden glazed tile wall and is the landmark building of Beigou Village. When I left, I drove through the village road. The chestnut trees on both sides were full of furry green fruits. I will come again when the chestnuts are ripe.
I am Yilan, a photographer who loves traveling. I will take you to explore fun and beautiful new ❤ places~
