A wonderful place to visit for photos and to take in local views, with many attractions within walking distance!
At the base of the mountain, there's a section that's a field of little golden canola flowers. The caretaker charges 2000kw (~2.00CAD) for visitors to walk through and take photos. Perhaps this spot isn't as well known, or perhaps we were lucky, because when we went the visitors were sparse and the flowers were thriving.
Walking about twelve minutes down the street, you will come across the Sanbangsan Temple, a Buddhist temple featuring intricate woodwork and a large collection of statues of disciples. There's also a hike you may choose to embark on for a small fee, either 1000kw or 2000kw, which takes you to see the Sanbanggulsa Grotto, a cave that holds a religious statue.
Continuing to walk south-east for ten minutes will bring you to the coastal park, where visitors can pay for a horseriding experience around a path. There's also another canola field (which you need to pay to enter), however, it's much smaller and sparser. I recommend going to the one closer to the mountain base for a more beautiful experience.
Following the path from there you will arrive at the coast. The waves breaking across the black volcanic rock will take your breath away. We went on a particularly atmospheric day, and the mist hung heavy in the air.
Overall, the Sanbangsan area is a beautiful spot with lots to see and is easily walkable.

Jeju blooms galore!
#cherryblossom25
First week of April in various locations around Jeju for Canola blooms and cherry blossom blooms. An under-rated destination for spring flower blooms. Apart from Samseonghyeol and Jeonnong-ro, most other places are not crowded. Especially 전원마을 입구 벚꽃길 and Dodubong. You can visit the Rainbow Road after Dodubong.

A great view of Canola field at Sanbangsan
#koreatrip
Sanbangsan is located at the centre area of Seogwipo, and its famous for its quaint and quiet location away from the crowds. This area mainly comprises of villages and small plot residence, and is very famous for its Canola Field. There are so many plots of lands planting Canola flowers, and you will want to stay there for long as you can take lots of nice pictures of the field and the mountain. The vast yellow fields will make you fall in love with the stunning scenery and the beauty of nature, and this is a must visit should you ever visit Jeju in end February or early March.
