Dali next month, spring comes first! Winter cherry blossom viewing guide.
Did you know? Dali next month is a wonderful place where spring comes early! 😜
In mid-December every year, when other places are shivering in the cold winter, Dali is already warm and full of spring, with the breath of spring everywhere. The splendid spring scenery is so tempting! Even if you have to fly 2,500 km to chase a dreamlike cherry blossom rain in winter, it's worth it! 🤩
Here are my 5 favorite winter cherry blossom viewing spots. I'm not hiding them, I'm sharing them all! 👇
❶ Sanwenbi Village
Outside the Good Luck Canteen, there are two cherry blossom trees that are very dense; and the cherry blossom tree opposite the Sunny Western Restaurant (or Huji Hot Pot) is my favorite in Dali! You can sit here comfortably all day long, just looking at it is a great pleasure~😍
❷ Wuliang Mountain Cherry Blossom Valley
It is said that "if you miss the Wuliang Mountain Cherry Blossom Valley, you miss the whole winter". The No. 1 Garden is especially suitable for taking portraits and enjoying the sunset, while the No. 2 Garden is a great place to watch the sunrise.
❸ Dali Ancient City
Walk along the main road from the south gate to the north gate, and you will see cherry blossoms all along the way. Against the backdrop of white walls and black tiles, the cherry blossoms are even more charming, and with the Cangshan Mountain as a beautiful background, you can take a picture with a great feeling.
❹ Outside the Tianlong Babu Film City
You don't even have to go inside the city, there are tall cherry blossom trees on both sides of the slope at the entrance. It's close to the slope of Dali University, so you can check in together and see enough at once.
❺ Dali Courtyard Central District
You can sit on the wall and take beautiful cherry blossom portraits, and you can also take pictures of Erhai Lake, which is really beautiful and photogenic, but there are really a lot of people. And, the best shooting spot for Qingbi Creek Waterfall is nearby.
Travel tips✨
In general, the peak bloom period for winter cherry blossoms is from mid-December to the end of the month. So before you leave, be sure to pay attention to the information provided by the locals, so you can meet the most beautiful cherry blossoms perfectly.
✔️ The temperature difference between morning and evening in Dali in winter is huge, so you need to bring a thick coat. And the sun is very strong during the day, so don't forget to apply sunscreen before going out, or you may get sunburned.
✔️ Wuliang Mountain is 2.5 hours away from Dali Ancient City, which is not close, and the place is quite big, so it is better to arrange a separate day to visit. There are also mountain roads on the way, so be sure to drive safely.
