Sapporo Art No Mori Art Museum officially opened in September 1990. The museum houses artists and writers with deep historical ties to Hokkaido, as well as modern art works from various countries, and displays the achievements of modern art. The outdoor hall displays 74 sculptures of different styles and the memorial room of the modern Japanese sculptor Tadayo Sato. The indoor hall will hold 5-7 exhibitions every year to introduce the development of modern art, especially sculpture, to people from various aspects. There are also a variety of artistic cloth bags and labels for sale, so it’s also a good idea to buy some as souvenirs.
