| One-day tour guide. Another wonderful weekend! I made an appointment with a few friends to soak in the hot springs~ It was raining and cold in Christchurch this week. I felt that it was winter, not autumn, so I planned to go to Hanmer Springs on the weekend♨      We drove from Christchurch for about two hours, passing through 📍Amberley Saturday Market, a small market that sells food, plants and clothes. It took me only five minutes to finish the whole thing, haha. Continuing towards our destination, our first stop was the 📍 Colonial Hill Walkway. According to the reviews on Google, it was a bit steep but fairly easy and it took about 30 minutes to reach the top. After that, we parked the car at the 📍 Hanmer Spring Thermal Pool & Spa. There was another Saturday market opposite the market, which could be visited in five minutes, so we could use it to kill time!      The hot spring is the highlight here. Show your membership card to enjoy a 20% discount, 💸30.4 dollars after the discount. Guests are encouraged to bring their own towels. Rental costs $5. Locker costs $4 for two hours and $8 for four hours. If you don't have any valuables, you can put them in the public storage room, which is divided into grids and is also a public place facing the public hot spring. The bathing facilities are quite complete, including toilet, shower, shower gel and hair dryer. I got hungry soon after soaking in the hot springs, and I have to say the food here is delicious! The 5 of us all ordered something different and each one was delicious. The Hotel was perched atop a hill, overlooking beautiful rolling hills and meadows. The room itself was cozy and inviting, with rustic furnishings that made it feel like home away from home. The next morning started early as I embraced the beauty of my surroundings by heading out on an invigorating hike along one of the many trails in this picturesque area. The sun’s rays were warm against my skin as I walked through fields of colorful wildflowers, marveling at their beauty before stopping for lunch under a shady tree near a babbling stream. After lunch, it was time to explore some more of what Hanmer Springs has to offer—soaking in thermal pools located right in town! Surrounded by lush trees and vegetation, these steaming hot springs provided hours of relaxation and rejuvenation. When night fell again, I found myself curled up in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea-the perfect way to end an amazing day! My travel experience in Hanmer Springs was nothing short of magical; full days spent exploring nature's wonders while recharging body and soul amongst ancient healing waters—it really is paradise on earth! #trip
