3 Days 3 Nights Guangzhou Trip
Booked my flights with China Southern Airlines via Trip.com for my first venture to Guangzhou city.
Also booked my hotel stay at Ji Hotel (All Seasons, Quan Ji) for 3 nights with breakfast.
Covered a lot during these 3 short days:
Day 1 - Nanyue King Museum, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial, Beijing Road, Big Buddha Temple
Day 2 - Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Yong Qing Fang, Sha Mian Island, Shi Shi Sacred Heart Cathedral
Day 3 - Canton Tower, Tao Tao Ju Michelin Star Dim Sum Restaurant, shopping at malls in Tianhe area
As the hotel is at Tianhe area, most shopping and food were done there.

💞Reasons to Recommend: Love the ambience and scenic park to be in. Am literally surprised to experience this despite reading a lot of write ups on this park.
We walked from Yong Qing Fang as we were staying in one of the hotels there. It took us a good 25 mins walk (used AMAP app). This is a gazetted historical area that serves as a tranquil reminder of the colonial European period, with quiet pedestrian avenues flanked by trees and lined by historical buildings in various states of upkeep. You may find hotels, restaurants, chic cafes and souvenir shops as well. This is a good place to chill. Love the vibes !

Colonial Calm — Shamian Park’s Twilight Whispers
As dusk settles over Shamian Park, a cloudy hue bathes its tree-lined paths and colonial facades, whispering tales of Guangzhou’s past. Locals play gentle melodies, couples stroll hand-in-hand, and children’s laughter echoes between historic mansions. The lanterns glow softly, casting a nostalgic charm over the cobblestone walkways. It’s a peaceful escape from the urban rush, where East meets West in the most graceful way.

Guangzhou Lantern Festival CN tower tulip garden and 3D ad
Mid Jan 2025 trip , close to Chinese new year and there was the Lantern Festival at the Yuexiu park. It’s impressive and we enjoyed the park walk . Canton tower from day to evening, the beautiful change of lights added colors to the cool night. Though it’s considered winter , the tulip sprung as if spring has come. I had an early spring and glad we took lotsa red orange yellow tulips. Beijing road has many shopping and eats, and fascinated with the 4D ad and had fun watching whilst waiting for cab back hotel

Exploring Shamian Island: A European Oasis in Guangzhou
Nestled in the heart of Guangzhou, Shamian Island is a charming escape from the city’s bustling streets. Once a colonial enclave, the island is a blend of European-style architecture, tree-lined avenues, and a peaceful ambiance that transports you to another era.
As I wandered through its quiet streets, I marveled at the elegant neoclassical buildings, remnants of its past under British and French rule. The pastel-colored facades, wrought-iron balconies, and grand archways tell stories of a bygone time. Among the highlights were Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the historic White Swan Hotel, both standing as testaments to the island’s rich history.
Shamian Island is also a haven for photographers. Every corner offers picturesque spots, from vintage street lamps to sculptures depicting scenes of daily life. The island’s riverside promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll, offering stunning views of the Pearl River.
Beyond its history, Shamian is a great place to relax. Cozy cafés and local tea houses invite visitors to slow down and soak in the serene atmosphere. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just seeking a peaceful retreat, Shamian Island is a must-visit in Guangzhou.
