I returned to Japan from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport!! I arrived early, so I bought milk tea at a place I'd always wanted to drink during my trip, and ate at a Uighur restaurant just before security! The milk tea came in a cute bag, and the straw was oddly shaped! In China, you can bring your own drinks into restaurants, so I drank it at the restaurant. Uighur food used a lot of lamb, wasn't spicy, and was delicious! However, my friend didn't like it! The portions are large, so be careful. (I think, but the restaurant didn't serve alcohol, so be careful.)

VIP Lounge No. 69 of Shanghai Pudong Airport can be reached after turning left after exiting the customs. It has a good view and comfortable seats. If you arrive at the airport early, it is a good choice. It is also a kind of happiness to go with a friend or a good partner. The key point is that if you are a Diamond member of Trip, you will get two free places. If you come with friends or companions, it is really recommended.

I was a little worried because it was China, but I saw police officers here and there, and the facilities were clean and honestly, it was a really satisfying airport. And for those transiting through Shanghai, I hope you watch out for people who say they will take you on a trip to China. There are groups that ask tourists to pay money for a trip to China while they are transiting, so please be careful because it can lead to dangerous situations.

I recently visited the VIP lounge 69 in terminal 2 of Pudong International Airport. It was mid-afternoon and not that busy. As it is upstairs, you can see the airfield and passengers at the gate. The lounge has lots of seating areas with charging points as well as workspaces that are more private. There is a self service drink and food section as well as an area that has fresh food being cooked. Overall, the lounge is very nice with helpful staff. The WiFi is available through the airport wifi

But service this time is good that they provide traditional Chinese cuisine. Also the seats is comfortable that have enough space to relax. And the crew is nice provide very good English service. Shanghai Pudong airport has started to reopen more international routes and terminal 2 handles the majority of those flights. The time to get through security and immigration (for me) was quite fast. Inside the terminal, there are a few outlets open with the duty free shopping area reopening recently. The boarding gates are very clearly located and they have announcements for the flights that are boarding. I recently used Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. With the recovery of international flights, many restaurants in the restricted area have reopened! Since it was a morning flight, I came without eating anything, so I filled my stomach at the airport 😋 First of all, I checked everything! There was a rich and rich lineup of restaurants, including "T9 PREMIUM TEA" (pic1,2), a high-end tea specialty store that started in Shanghai in 2017, "Kangshi Fu Red Shao Beef Noodles" (pic3), "MANCUN BREWING" (pic4), a beer specialty store with a store in Shanghai city, and Starbucks (pic5). Before returning to Japan, I think it would be a good idea to eat some of the things you can only get in Shanghai! By the way, this time I had cold-brewed Lishan oolong tea and a hot sandwich at "T9 PREMIUM TEA" (pic1). I used the 23 hours before flight check in to get rid of the luggage and get boarding passes (photo 2) ready so that on the departure day we could proceed directly to the gate. This service is very convenient and only offered in Zurich traveling by Swiss and Lufthansa group! The departure was a bit delayed but with only a flying time of 11 hours 40 minutes there was an early arrival at Pudong Airport. The plane was a Boieng 777-300 (photo 2) in a 4 class configuration of 8 First, 62 Business, 24 Economy Plus, 270 Economy seats. The air cution seats (photo 4) with softer and harder functions in Business have an extra safe three point safety belt and provide a big legroom and many stowing spaces. There is a pillow, a very light however warming blanket of a comfortable blanket and noise canceling headsets. If traveling with a baby under eight months you can order a baby basket for extra comfort but our son likes to sleep with the mother (photo 5)! The crew was caring about our baby and gave him a cute toy plane! (Photo 6) The lunch service started 30 minutes after with an aperitif mixed nuts and the beverage of your choice (photo 7) There are 2 different white wines and 3 reds. This time I chose the Swiss wines which were an excellent choice. Then there are 2 first course choices;vegetarian and fish (photo 8). The four main courses available were beef (photo 9), fish (photo 10), chicken and vegetarian. The meals are always created by famous Swiss top chefs! There is also some cheese with pear bread (photo 11)and last but not least a dessert which was a lemon coconut cake (photo 12). All in all a perfect dining experience. This is my first international travel since the last two years, this time I am flying to Macau. I take eastern airline and thanks to my Delta Diamond, I am eligible to enter the first class lounge. It feels so unreal when I walk through the empty airport, a lot of stores are closed. When I walked into the lounge, that familiar feeling comes from my deep mind, I took some pictures around and ordered noodle which is well recognized by frequent flyers, but I did not try the alcohol. The place looks stunning, and it’s a great way to capture the beginning or end of my journey in China – it feels wonderful. The airport has numerous international brand stores, duty-free shops, Chinese and Western restaurants, as well as rest areas. From my personal experience, during peak hours, the airport can get very crowded, especially when international flights are concentrated. Security checks, immigration, and luggage collection can take longer with longer queues. So, I recommend arriving at the airport early just to be on the safe side. The airport is quite large, and there’s a lot of walking, especially between Terminal 1/2 and the satellite hall, where you need to take the metro, which may be inconvenient for unfamiliar travelers. Pudong Airport’s facilities and services are quite comprehensive, but during peak times, there might be some congestion. Overall, the experience is still very good! #travel #shanghai #china

It was my first trip to China, and the bridge was magnificent and eye-catching. This became my first impression of Shanghai – so beautiful, so I took a photo of the bridge as a memento. The Xupu Bridge is the fifth bridge over the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China, connecting the Xuhui District on the west and the Pudong New Area on the east. The Shanghai Outer Ring Road crosses the Huangpu River via the Xupu Bridge, with a total of 8 lanes in both directions. It is smaller than Terminal 1, but it has everything you need. Coffee and juice cost around 5,000 won and it says it is a handmade bakery.

I recently injured my hand a few days before my trip to Shanghai. After a 12-hour flight, my hand started to hurt unbearably. I flew economy class and upon arrival at Pudong Airport, I told the airport staff that I was in pain and they not only provided me with the necessary medical care, but also sent someone to help with my luggage. They are the most professional and kind people I have ever met. ❤️

Lounge 71 is the main lounge for Air China and other Star Alliance airlines at Shanghai Pudong International airport. The lounge is open from 4am to 1am and it is very big meaning that the ambience is very quiet and relaxing. It is located in terminal two and has amenities such as free WiFi, showers and flight departure information. There are hot and cold food available as well as a bar that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I would recommend this lounge because of the size and the very powerful WiFi that allows you to relax and work before a flight

The airport itself is spacious and modern, with clear signage and a generally clean environment. However, at that hour, most facilities—including shops and restaurants—were closed, so options for food and drinks were extremely limited. If you’re arriving late, it’s best to eat beforehand or bring snacks. Transport options were also limited past midnight, with fewer taxis available and no metro service running. Ride-hailing services were still accessible, but wait times were slightly longer than usual. Overall, Shanghai Pudong Airport delivers on efficiency and cleanliness, but late-night travelers should plan ahead for food and transportation.
