Shangri-La in Tianjin is a historic luxury hotel located in the bustling area of downtown Tianjin, built in 1923. It was once one of the most famous hotels during the British concession period. Now this century-old building has been revitalized and has become the most desirable and eye-catching accommodation choice locally. Design Stepping into the Shangri-La Hotel in Tianjin, you will be impressed by its elegant and exquisite design. Every detail reflects high quality and luxury, from the lobby to the rooms, public areas to garden views, you can feel a strong cultural atmosphere in every corner. Room We stayed in a luxury river view room, the super large floor-to-ceiling glass window is really awesome, the Haihe street view is in full view, especially the night view, the beautiful scenery composed of dazzling neon and flowing traffic, not to be missed. Of course, we were lucky to stay in a room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on both sides, the view is just unspeakable! The layout of the room is great, with leisure sofas and writing desks, suitable for both business and leisure. Here is a small tip for girls who like to take pictures, put the quilt on the sofa, you can create a feeling of pretending to sleep by the window, change into a bathrobe and take a set of lazy vacation style pictures, just for this, I have to blow up this hotel! Food Dining at Shangri-La is never a concern, Xianggong has never disappointed. Breakfast is diverse, but the overall meal feels a bit northern, buns, noodles, roujiamo, pancake fruit, tofu brain, really Tianjin and many are freshly made. Facilities I must praise the hotel's gym, where I completed my first 3km run on a treadmill in my life, probably because the current environment was too comfortable for me to forget. First of all, the space is super large, the equipment is very complete, and we almost have the whole gym to ourselves on weekday afternoons. Swimming Pool The swimming pool of Shangri-La is very beautiful, it is an infinity pool, facing the Haihe River, swimming will give you a feeling of swimming into the Haihe River, the feeling is quite unique among many hotel swimming pools, and it also has underwater sound system. Service The staff are very polite and enthusiastic, when cleaning the room, they knew that I like to drink osmanthus tea and put a few more bags, and when checking out, they were very enthusiastic to help push the luggage.

#luxuryhotel "The Shangri-La Suite", Tianjin. This is by far, the BEST that money can buy. What a privilege, to at least have enjoyed the sheer luxury and elegance, of this marvelous suite. Truly fit for Royalty or Statesman, if possible, at least once in your lifetime, endulge in such elegance. The Shangri-La Suite, features breathtaking City and River Views, from various parts of the suite. Each area is carefully designed, to provide a sence of luxury and style. Crystal chandeliers grace each room in this elegant suite, from the dining room to the bathroom. The bathroom is truly luxurious, with the Hottub overlooking the City and River. Marble all-round, enhances the feel of luxury. Spacious, luxurious, elegant, captivating, perfect, none of these words can truly describe this marvel.

#hightea There's no better place to enjoy hightea, and a light lunch, than at this Lobby Lounge and Cafe'. The Deserts are simply out of this world, and the food is truly worthy of a 5 Star rating. This is truly our most favorite place on Earth. Bold statement, but factual, none the less. We love spending hours on end at the Lobby Lounge, at the Shangri-La, Tianjin. Surrounded by true and timeless elegance, distant Skyline views, the river right beside you. Relaxing music performed by the world class Pianist, or the resident Jazz Band. You're senses are stimulated, from the moment you enter the Lobby Lounge. Invigorate your sences, smell, taste, touch and listen. Find your Shangri-La, live your Dreams.

#nightview The views from the Shangri-La Tianjin, are simply breathtaking, by day and by night. The Hai River (China) connectes Beijing to Tianjin, and the Bohai Sea, and is also the focal point from the Hotel's views. Daytime views are crystal clear, even on a cloudy day. Watching the Sun set, is simply breathtaking and picturesque. Night views are spectacular, and all the lights around the riverfront, illuminate the water and the skies.

#unforgettableexperiences The Shangri-La, Tianjin, is, and has always been our favorite Hotel to visit. This week was a special celebration for us, as we celebrated our 15th Wedding anniversary, as well as our 4th consecutive year in China. We relocated to another City / Province, about two years ago, and was unable to visit and enjoy our special Shangri-La. Prior to us moving from Tianjin, we used to celebrate all our special occasions and milestones, at this branch of Shangri-La. We would always spend our Christmas, New Years, and Chinese New Year's at Shangri-La. Now that we have returned to Heibei, we look forward to continuing this tradition. Things change over time, some familiar faces are no longer working there. However, the new team made us feel right at home again, and went out of their way to make our stay most memorable and special. As I mentioned to one of the team members, it's not the spectacular Lobby Lounge, nor the beautifully decorated features, that make the establishment, but rather the people. Without quality staff and superior service, no establishment can ever rely on reoccurring business. For as long as these values are in place, this Shangri-La can be certain of our patronage. All team members provided excellent service, from the bellhop, to the waitresses, from the front of house to the housekeeping and of course the management team. Special thanks to "Francis", the new General Manager, "Danny", the Food and Beverage Director, as well as "Billy", the "Food and Beverage" Manager. This trio of Management, ensured that we received the best service possible. Lastly, we would like to thank "Roger" whom assisted us with a Driver / Transportation, upon our early departure. We have visited countless hotels over the years, and each has it's own unique character and ambience. With that said, it's human nature to have a favorite. And the Shangri-la Tianjin, is without a question, our most favorite place on earth. The Lobby Lounge is Especially our favorite place, witin the hotel. Guests can enjoy the elegant environment, whilst enjoying live music (Pianist, Guitarist or Live Band). We enjoy spending time in the Lobby Lounge, and order a world class meal from the Restaurant. The dishes are prepared by world class cheffs, and you will be treated to a unique dining experience.

In winter❄️, there is nothing better than eating a small hot pot🍲~ The hot spring bear🐻 self-service small hot pot launched by Tianjin Shangri-La is really my favorite~ The bear has two flavors: red oil and mushroom soup. After adding hot water, the bear will slowly melt into the small hot pot. Unlimited supply of the buffet specialty Wagyu beef and unlimited supply of Häagen-Dazs ice cream. The marbling pattern of the wagyu beef is quite beautiful. I ate it plate after plate and was really exhausted after eating it. [Yeah][Yeah][Yeah]The room is in the regular Shangri-La style, with a standard, simple and practical living room. The Chinese cabinet in the mini bar is very interesting. The guest bedroom has a large bed, a serious sofa by the window, and an interesting painting above the bed. [Yeah][Yeah][Yeah]The bathroom is not big, with double basins and dry and wet separation. The view from the room is very good. You can see the Haihe River and Tianjin Railway Station. In the distance, you can see the outer building of Ritz-Carlton. [Joyful][Joyful][Joyful] The hotel breakfast, swimming pool and room view are all good. The room does not feel old. The afternoon tea in the lounge is also very good, with beautiful and open views. It was my birthday and I was given a cake. It is very convenient for shopping and eating next to Kerry Plaza. The view of Haihe River is especially good. Practical living room decor, interesting Chinese-style mini bar cabinet. Large bed in the guest room, serious window-side sofa, interesting bedside painting. The bathroom is not large, but has double sinks and a separate wet and dry area. The room has a great view of the Haihe River and Tianjin Station, and you can see the outer building of the Ritz-Carlton in the distance.

🚴It’s not impossible to take citywalk, but taking a taxi intermittently is more cost-effective. I read a lot of guides that said you can bike the whole way, but the distance between each attraction is 2km, so it's really tiring to walk all day. If the navigation shows no traffic jam, it is recommended to take a taxi to the next main attraction (Tianjin Old Town is very congested, and sometimes taking a taxi is not as fast as riding a bicycle) ⛱️Must-visit attractions: This time I checked in: Tai'an Road British Style District Century Clock Square Fifth Avenue Commercial Street (Nanjing Road Branch) Fifth Avenue recommends a horse-drawn carriage tour or a rickshaw to listen to history for a more immersive experience. The Lion Grove Bridge is worth watching for the grandpas and ladies diving in the afternoon. The Jintang Bridge is very close to Deyun Club and the two and a half hours of crosstalk is worth watching. The 50 yuan ticket for the Porcelain House is really not worth entering. 🏨Accommodation tips: The newest five-star hotel in the area is Conrad Tianjin, which is near the water park and TV tower. The whole journey takes 2.5 hours. You need to book tickets in advance or through second-hand channels. I recommend taking a horse-drawn carriage or rickshaw around Fifth Avenue. I booked a fare of 150 yuan per car, which included a tour guide. It is not far from the Fifth Avenue to Xikai Church by bike. 🍜Food tips: There is a steamed dumpling shop next door where locals go to eat. There is nothing much to see in the Ancient Culture Street and Drum Tower. They are just a concentration of small commercial shops in the unified scenic area. Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin The hotel is near Tianjin Station, with an excellent location, plus the configuration of a whole floor-to-ceiling window in the Deluxe River View Room overlooking the Haihe River, with a beautiful view. The interior decoration of the room is average because it's quite old, but the facilities are complete and well maintained, and the overall room type is very open, the stay experience is very good! After finishing work, I went to the 32nd floor Deluxe Tower for buffet dinner at exactly 17:00. To be honest, the buffet at Shangri-La is quite good among Tianjin hotels. I took photos when it was not dark yet, it must have a different flavor if you look at it at night~ If this is helpful, remember to like and collect. Check in more quality hotels together! 【About the hotel I want to say】Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin accommodation for travel Price: 1034 per night Room: Ordinary double bed room, five-star standard, the room is relatively small, luxurious and high-end. A bottle of red wine is given upon check-in (not a good wine but it's okay), the room has all the necessary facilities, and they are relatively new, but the old brand Shangri-La's hard injury is still the old brand. However, although Shangri-La is old-fashioned, it has connotations, like an old Gone aristocrat. Surroundings: Along the Haihe River in Tianjin, the scenery is excellent. Tianjin is also a city-building type I like very much, and I have been there many times. Restaurant: Without exaggeration, the breakfast at Shangri-La in Tianjin can be ranked in the top two of my hotel breakfasts. The hotel itself is a beautiful sight, a perfect blend of luxury and elegance. The room I stayed in was spacious and bright, with first-class facilities. I was really satisfied! What surprised me most was the infinity pool, which is connected to the sky above the city and overlooks the beautiful scenery of the Haihe River. Swimming here is a real pleasure, as if the whole city is unfolding at your feet. I was also impressed by the hotel's CHI Spa, which was truly a relaxing and comfortable experience. The atmosphere in the lobby bar is also great. I sat by the window basking in the sun and spent a lazy afternoon. The hotel also provides many benefits! Such as early check-in at 12:00, free breakfast for two people every day, $50 hotel credit that can be used for dining or SPA consumption, and the privilege of late check-out until 16:00 at the latest depending on room status. It’s really a great deal! Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin is the biggest surprise of my trip and I highly recommend it to everyone! I will come and experience it again next time I have the chance!

Jiefang Bridge is located on the Haihe River between Tianjin Railway Station and Jiefang North Road. It is a fully steel structured openable bridge built in 1927. It is one of the iconic buildings of Tianjin. In the southern part of the central city of Tianjin, five streets named Changde, Chongqing, Dali, Munan and Racecourse are arranged in parallel from east to west. It is the most complete foreign building group preserved in Tianjin and even China to date.

The pool features underwater music, ideal if you wish to relax, and lay on your back, with your ears slightly submerged. Views from the swimming pool are breathtaking, and even more spectacular at night. You will enjoy views of the river and it's bridge, the skyscrapers and distant city lights. After your unique swimming experience, why not head over to the hottub section. This hottub has a bubble function, you can activate the jets, by simply pressing the button. Nothing relaxes the body's muscles more, than a session in this hottub. After your spa session, head on over to the Horizon Club, and enjoy complimentary drinks, pastries and light meals. After enjoying the "Best rated views in China", perhaps best to retire to your suite or room for the evening. The turndown service, will make you feel like a million dollars. One more view of the spectacular skyline, and river from your room, before bedtime.

# Do it with finesse and style We initially planned to stay for one night only, and to perhaps try to exeperience, another establishment the next day. However, we soon realized that we enjoyed it so much, that we had no desire to go elsewhere. (We extended our stay). The views from the Horizon View room, were spectacular, both day and night. All the facilities, are truly world class, especially the indoor heated swimming pool and gym. The hot Whirlpool Bath, and Suana also revitalised the body and mind. The Spa was great, with excellent staff, and beautiful facilities. We enjoyed a Chinese Wellness Massage, in the couples room. The Cafe Yun Restaurant, was our personal favorite, in terms of dining. All staff there provided "Superb Service", and made us feel welcome, at all times. They were curteous enough, to provide us with some delicious sweet treats, from the artistic deserts (which we could enjoy in our Hotel Room). Our main meals, were all not just merely meals, but true culinary experiences. Only the finest ingredients, and condiments were used. Lobby Lounge: The "Pianist", was excellent, and my Wife and I, enjoyed listening to his ambient music, whilst enjoying our Dinner, in the Lobby Lounge. We truly enjoyed the "Jazz Band", the previous evening. It made for a relaxed atmosphere, within the Lobby Lounge. Front Desk: All staff at the desk, were extremely professional, and assist us with check out. They were also kind enough, to assist us with arranging for our driver pick up. General: Also noteworthy, the fact that most staff, were proficient with English, thus not causing us any inconvenience (no translation apps were required). As a formar senior manager, within the retail field, it was among other things, part of my job to look for flaws and problems.
