[2025 Nairobi Attraction] Travel Guide for Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery (Updated Jul)

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust takes in orphaned and injured elephants and raises them before returning them to the wild. Every day at 10am they open and allow visitors to come and watch them being fed. Keepers tell about where and in what condition the elephants were found. You can also adopt an elephant for 50 USD each year. If you like elephants this is a must see event while in Kenya. #happynewyear #happynewyear

The elephant orphanage became famous after appearing on Infinite Challenge and being home to baby elephant Doto. Doto has now graduated I guess that means he's probably returned to the wild? When the tour begins, the keeper introduces the purpose of the orphanage and the baby elephants where they're from, how old they are, etc. Most of them are orphans or sick children who were poached or whose parents were hunted and are protected here.
