“Timeless Streets of Fujiyoshida: Where Tradition Meets the Majesty of Mount Fuji”
#japantrip
Fujiyoshida is a picturesque town in Japan’s Yamanashi Prefecture, nestled at the northern base of Mount Fuji. The town is famous for its breathtaking views of the iconic volcano, traditional streets, and serene temples, making it a must-visit destination for travelers who want to experience both natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The streets of Fujiyoshida blend old and new, offering a mix of traditional Japanese architecture and modern establishments. Honcho Street is one of the most famous, where you can see a perfectly aligned view of Mount Fuji framed by retro-style buildings and power lines. The nostalgic ambiance, combined with local shops selling handmade crafts and delicious Fuji udon noodles, makes walking through the town an enjoyable experience.

This is a popular check-in spot in Yamanashi Prefecture. There is a tourist service center next to it. The service staff are very friendly and you can go in and get a Mount Fuji stamp as a souvenir! There are security guards stationed by the city hall on the roadside. Be careful not to cross the road to take pictures to avoid danger. About 200 meters away is LAWSON!

The Ultimate Mount Fuji View: Strolling Through Fujiyoshida Street
#japantrip #thingstodo #daytrip #fujiyoshida #japan #tokyo #spring
If you’re chasing that iconic, postcard-perfect view of Mount Fuji, Fujiyoshida Street is the place to be. Located in the heart of Fujiyoshida City, just a short trip from Tokyo, this charming street offers a breathtaking, perfectly framed view of Japan’s most famous peak. Walking down the road, I was struck by the nostalgic feel of the old storefronts, cozy cafés, and the quiet, everyday life unfolding around me—all with Fuji towering in the background. Come in the morning for crisp, clear skies or in the evening for a magical, pink-tinged sunset. It’s a dream spot for photographers and a must-visit for anyone wanting a truly unforgettable Fuji experience!

Uoshige, a secret shop in Shimoyoshida
#TravelJapan
Today, travel with Mui, take you to a secret restaurant that we accidentally found, a sashimi restaurant called Uoshige in Shimoyoshida, Kawaguchiko. The restaurant is near the red pagoda, just a few minutes' drive away. This is a fish shop that also cuts fish and also sells sashimi, rice bowls, and lunch sets. All the food is delicious, the ingredients are fresh and clean, and the set includes soup and dessert.
The price is not expensive. The interior is decorated in Japanese style, like eating at home.
There is a large parking lot in front of the shop.
The owner is very cute and friendly.
Closed every day and the shop opens in 2 periods, 11.00-16.00, 18.00-20.00

Today, traveling with Mui will show you the location to take beautiful photos of Mt. Fuji. 🗻 The view of the city behind Fuji in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, a city where you can see Mt. Fuji from many places. From the straight road that is perpendicular to Fujisan, here is Honmachi Street, a long road that is a popular crosswalk that you must take a picture of when crossing the road.
But be careful of cars. In the city, you can walk along the alleys and alleys. No matter where you look, you can see Fuji.

Admiring Mt. Fuji all day long
A day of touring the snow-covered Mt. Fuji all day long.

Secret shop, cheap price, beautiful view, near Fuji
A small restaurant located on Shimoyoahida Street, not far from Kawaguchiko. This restaurant is run by just the two of them. It is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. Not many tourists know about it yet. Looking behind the house, you will see a view of Mt. Fuji. The southern part is nearby. The food takes a while to prepare because it is freshly made one dish at a time. The udon is delicious, the noodles are chewy and springy, and there are a lot of ingredients. The price is very cheap, only a few hundred yen. The grandmother is very kind. She can't speak English, but there is an English menu.
📍Address: MIMASU Restuarant
🕰️Opening hours: 2 periods, lunch and dinner
💰Average price per person: less than 1,000 yen

Shimoyoshida Honcho Street.
I came here last year in autumn season. This place is just walking distance from arakurayama sengen park. If you want to see the famous street where you can see the famous Mt. fuji then you better to stop by for a while. As I arrived in the destination I understand the reason why many queued to snap a larger than life Fujisan looming at the end of a photogenic street, if you happen to join the crowd, do observe road safety. I pity the Japanese uncle having to scream all the time to tell people to observe road safety while clicking pics. Also, do explore areas parallel to this Main Street, they make good photo spots too.
I wish to go to a lot of famous places in Japan this year.

Fuji Michi (Honcho Street)
This street has become a hot spot on social media for seeing Mt.Fuji.
Mt.Fuji, seen from behind the tasteful signs boards and lanterns which decollate there shops along the street, and the miscellaneous electric wires that cross the street, is a one of a kind view that can only be seen here.
Recently, many tourists and photographers have been visiting this spot to take photogenic photos, with photos taken from here appearing on Instagram.
