Dream Village Shirakawa-go
Shirakawa-go Village 🏠🏘️ is a small, cute village registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, hidden in a valley in Gifu Prefecture. 🌨️ There is a river flowing through the village, very beautiful!!! It snows heavily here. The way into the village, the snow is thick all the way, but there are snow clearing trucks at intervals. ☃️☃️
It is convenient to travel by private car or bus from Takayama city, taking about 1-2 hours. If you want to see fluffy snow, don't miss it.

🍁⛩️🍂An old World Heritage village in Japan in the fall foliage season. Located on the mountains of Gifu and Toyama prefectures in central Honshu, it consists of houses that are over 200-300 years old, spread out north-south along a narrow plain parallel to the Shokawa River.
🍁🛖🍁Gassho-zukuri houses, which are ancient farmhouses that are over 250 years old, have a special characteristic of being traditional Japanese houses. They were built without nails. The name comes from the word "Gassho", which means hands clasped together, according to the shape of the house with a 60-degree steep roof that looks like two hands clasped together to allow snow and rain to flow down to the ground below. The front has windows to let in light from outside and to help with good ventilation.
