📜History:
Shihwan Dashi Temple is one of the six ancient temples in Qingdao, with a history dating back to the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and was expanded during the Zhengde to Jiajing periods of the Ming Dynasty. The temple is named after the Guanyin Bodhisattva, and is a sub-temple of Chaohai Temple. It was an important place for Buddhist activities in the Laoshan area in history. The architecture of Dashi Temple is elegant and solemn, with a large area, and adopts the traditional Buddhist temple architectural style, including halls, monks' quarters, guest rooms, and other buildings.
