🇭🇰Guangdong surrounding tour August Huizhou Shuangyue Bay guide 3 days and 2 nights
🚝Transportation to Shuangyue Bay
The nearest high-speed rail station to Shuangyue Bay is Huidong South Station
There is a direct train to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, but the frequency is very low.
You can also go to Shenzhen North first, and then transfer to the bus to Huidongnan, which has more frequent departures.
After arriving at the high-speed rail station, you can call a taxi to Shuangyue Bay, which costs about 50-85 yuan and takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour to get there.
On the way there, I arrived at Huidong South Station at 11am and there was no traffic jam.
The return trip was by bus at around 4pm. It is difficult to call a taxi in the afternoon and there is traffic jam. You may have to wait for half an hour before a taxi comes to take your order. You need to reserve time in advance.
🏨Accommodation
The hotels are mainly distributed along the coast of Honghai Bay and Pinghai Bay
📍Watch the sunrise at Honghai Bay. There are several large hotels there with children's swimming pools, suitable for families with children
📍Watch the sunset at Pinghai Bay, Yidishui Library and Spanish Town are all here
Choose a hotel based on your needs.
This time I stayed in Pinghai Bay, I liked it very much 💕, I will introduce it separately.
If you want to check in at sunrise, it is recommended to stay in Honghai Bay. It is difficult to call a taxi early in the morning.
🏖️Beach
📍I recommend the beach on the Lover's Dike. The sand is very fine and not painful to the feet. I walked barefoot for 15 minutes without any problem.
It is recommended to go in the afternoon at sunset when it is not so hot.
Grab a mat, buy a drink, and watch the sunset. 🌅
There will be many shops coming to you to play water sports, just ignore them, it's a bit annoying, you can set off fireworks after 6pm
❌It is not recommended to go to Honghai Bay, the sand there is very coarse and it is impossible to walk on it without shoes. But because there are large hotels there, the facilities on the beach are better, with parasols, sun loungers and so on. But I don't live there, so there's no need to go there specifically.
🍽️Restaurant
Recommended seafood restaurant: Xixing/He Ni Yi. These two were recommended by locals, who said they were opened by locals and wouldn't be that expensive.
Two people ordered five dishes and the bill was about 250. No need to queue if you go before 6:30 on weekdays.
Then we went to the Shalang Restaurant and Bar, which serves Thai food. The food was average and the taste was not authentic enough. It is recommended to have a drink and check in at the restaurant.
🐢Turtle Bay
The ticket office opens at 8:30, so go as early as possible. There will be traffic jams if you go late. I went at 11am and there was already a small traffic jam.
You can take a taxi directly to the parking lot near the ticket office. Don't let the driver drop you off at the foot of the mountain unless there is a real traffic jam. I was stupid enough to get off the car, so I had to spend extra money to take a taxi up the mountain. There are many roads to walk after entering the scenic area, so take a car if you can.
Go up and buy your tickets directly at the ticket office without purchasing them first. There is no need to queue on weekdays.
⭐️ Recommended route to the beach (about 2 hours):
Walk to the observation deck ➡️ Check in at the sea-viewing plank road ➡️ Turtle Pavilion ➡️Take the scenic area bus back to the visitor center
You can take the scenic area bus back to the visitor center, which costs 5 yuan per person. However, you have to wait in line for more than half an hour to get on the scenic area bus. It is sunny and hot, so it may be faster to walk than to take the bus.
❌Finally we left the scenic area at about 1:30 pm, but! There is absolutely no way to get a taxi! There were only motorcycle taxis all the way down the mountain, so I thought there would be cars once we got down the mountain. After waiting for half an hour, there was still nothing! In the end, I was so angry that I had to take a motorcycle taxi. It’s so expensive! So, go early if you can ❌
However, Shuangyue Bay is still worth visiting. I hope everyone has a great time❤️
