I was shocked how great the museum is . it is huge and has 5 floors. i could spend as day there and wouldn’t see everything . Each floor teaches something extremely important about the Sichuan history and art . Amazing temporary exhibitions make the place more dynamic and fun . I was lucky to see an exhibition about clothes used in the silk route . Interactive panels helped comprehend even more the exhibition. on the fifth floor there is a puppetry exhibition teaching about the different style in the different provinces . it was amazing to notice gentle differences from north and South . On the fourth floor they have an explanation about food and Sichuan opera .

if you visit Chongqing you could consider going to the Sichuan Museum of Fine Arts, it contains a lot of nice paintings, photo oportunities and is surrounded by many nice stores and restaurants to make your day more interesting. The architecture of the place is very modern and it has mostly modern art with some key replica pieces that are interesting to find in China like the last supper or the david.
