The town built on the Hecho River Valley has its own unique natural landscape
Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Huesca (Region)
Hecho is a town known for its wonderful folk architecture and its striking open-air exhibitions of contemporary sculpture, but above all, its beautiful natural surroundings take most of the credit.
The valleys of the western Aragonese Pyrenees are influenced by the moisture of the Atlantic Ocean, creating magnificent and lush vegetation that is home to a wide variety of animal life.
The El Chau Valley follows the course of the Aragon-Subordán River, which narrows at the "Boca del Infierno" (Mouth of Hell), a pass carved by the river in the rock. In the valley we also discovered the “Selva de Oza”, a dense and beautiful forest of beech and fir.

Learn about the topography and history of the Pyrenees
Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Huesca (Region)
The Interpretation Centre provides a vision from an environmental perspective of the Geopark. The explanatory video with the "3D projection" style models is very interesting and gives a good idea of the environment in which the town is located from a geological point of view, and the fossils and remains of the Pyrenean formations in the area give an overview of the evolution of the park. Admission is free and the visit will not exceed 20 minutes. It's worth it!

The castle is integrated with the town, and there is nothing left except the city walls.
Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Huesca (Region)
The Castle of Aínsa is almost connected to the town and is separated from it by the Plaza del Castillo, which is currently used as a parking lot. The oldest part is the Torre del Homenaje, built on 16th-century Arab ruins. Later the wall was closed, with a 14 m high wall equipped with walkways and two viewing platforms, the villa's viewing platform and the viewing platform of the Pyrenees. Free entry to the castle, which is open all day

The 360-degree panoramic view is very spectacular
Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Huesca (Region)
It is a 10-minute walk from L'Aínsa. Although there is little shade on the path, it is worth going to the viewpoint while you are in La Insa. The view from the viewpoint is spectacular with a 360-degree view of Peña Montanesa Mountain, the Xinca Valley, Tres Solores, and more, making it a perfect spot to view the Xinca River.

A memorial pavilion surrounded by iron fences
Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Huesca (Region)
It is slightly set back from the rest of the monumental complex and is a quiet spot that you can walk to or drive to, but it is on a single lane agricultural road and there is no parking. This is a 17th century monument that represents the miracle of a cross of fire appearing on an oak tree, giving the victorious Christians strength to fight. It is a circular temple with eight columns supporting a dome under which are depicted miracles that took place in the ninth century. Recommend to see this monument as it is part of the history we saw in Ainsa

Unique mountain and water adventure
Pyrenees Expedition in Huesca (Region)
Experience the thrill of climbing up to a magnificent waterfall (taking a dip in the freshwater is absolutely amazing!), then descending along a riverbed trail until you reach a pool at the end of the route where you can swim and cool off. This adventure is also suitable for families with children as it is not too challenging. You follow a clearly marked trail and will quickly spot the pools. They are not very large, and since the route is not circular, you will need to return the same way.

The passerelle of Alquezar
The "passerelle" of Alquézar refers to the walkways and footbridges, known as "Pasarelas del Vero," that allow visitors to explore the stunning Vero River gorge. Here's a breakdown of what they are:
* Location and Purpose:
* These walkways are situated in Alquézar, within the Sierra and Cañones de Guara Natural Park, and they follow the course of the Vero River.
* Their purpose is to provide a safe and accessible way for people to experience the breathtaking beauty of the gorge, which would otherwise be difficult or impossible to navigate.#pasarellasdelvero
* Features:
* The "passerelles" consist of suspended walkways and footbridges that cling to the rock walls of the canyon.
* They offer spectacular views of the turquoise waters of the Vero River, the dramatic rock formations, and the surrounding landscape.
* It is a very popular hiking route.
* Important Information:
* It is important to check the current status of the walkways before visiting, as sections may be closed due to maintenance or weather conditions, such as high river levels.
* It is also important to buy tickets, as there is a charge to use the walkways.
* Information regarding ticket sales and closures can be found on the websites dedicated to the "Pasarelas de Alquézar".
In essence, the "passerelle" of Alquézar is a remarkable feat of engineering that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of one of Spain's most stunning landscapes.

Finestre de Huesca
The "Finestre de Huesca" is actually called the Muralla de Finestres, often nicknamed the "Chinese Wall of Huesca". It's a truly unique and impressive geological formation located in the Pre-Pyrenees of Aragon, Spain.
Here's a description of this natural wonder:
* Striking Rock Formation: The Muralla de Finestres is a series of layered rock formations that resemble a long, winding wall. These layers were formed over millions of years by tectonic activity and erosion, creating a dramatic and visually stunning landscape.
* Natural Wonder: Unlike the man-made Great Wall of China, the Muralla de Finestres is a completely natural phenomenon. It's a testament to the power of nature to sculpt and shape the landscape.
* Unique Appearance: The rock layers are distinct and easily visible, giving the formation its characteristic "wall-like" appearance. The colors and textures of the rock add to its visual appeal.
* Hiking Destination: The Muralla de Finestres is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. There are several trails that wind through the area, offering stunning views of the rock formations and the surrounding landscape.
* Panoramic Views: From certain vantage points, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Muralla de Finestres and the surrounding valleys. It's a truly breathtaking sight.
* Historical Significance: The area around the Muralla de Finestres has a rich history, with evidence of human settlement dating back centuries. The nearby village of Finestres adds to the charm of the location.

In the nor
In the north of the region of Ribagorza (Huesca, Spain), at the foot of the mont Aneto (3.404 m), there is a small piece of paradise: Llanos del Hospital.
Belonging to the municipality of Benasque, at an altitude of 1,750 metres, Llanos del Hospital offers us endless possibilities to enjoy a nature that we could still describe as wild.
Any time is good to visit this magnificent place since at any time we find activities to do: mountaineering, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc.
If sports are not your thing but you are looking for a quiet place where you can simply rest, this is also your place.
