The red heartbeat of a city and the fireworks of the world
As a travel enthusiast, this is my first time in Zunyi. Every brick and tile here contains the code to rewrite history. Every bowl of noodles and every pot of soup here is boiling with the most authentic northern Guizhou cuisine. Today, Xiaojing and I have summarized a perfect itinerary plan and practical tips for four days and three nights. It covers the main sights without being too rushed and still provides an excellent accommodation experience.
Day 1: After arriving at Zunyi Station, take a taxi to Jiulong Yipin Hotel to check in (about 15 minutes). The hotel has become the choice of many travelers with its superior geographical location, complete service facilities and thoughtful service concept. The hotel is located on Huancheng Road, Honghuagang District, Zunyi City. The hotel is conveniently located around the subway station, only about 10 minutes away, making it easy for travelers to quickly reach famous attractions and commercial centers. From the moment you step into the hotel, the professional service team will provide you with 24-hour attentive service. Whether it is luggage handling, wake-up service, travel consultation, or business assistance, we will do our best to meet your needs and make you feel the warmth of home. In the afternoon, visit the Zunyi Conference site and surrounding memorial halls to gain a deeper understanding of this period of history that changed China's destiny. In the evening, stroll along Red Army Street and purchase intangible cultural heritage handicrafts such as paper-cut paintings and batik. We had dinner in Laosha Lane and tried the old sour soup hotpot in the residential building.
Day 2: After tasting Min Si mutton noodles for breakfast, head to Wujiang Village (about 1 hour’s drive). Explore the ancient village and experience bamboo rafting during the day, and enjoy the light show and water curtain movie in the evening. After returning to downtown Zunyi, you can continue exploring local late-night snacks at Hezhong Road Food Street.
Day 3: Sleep until you wake up naturally in the warm and comfortable suite to make up for the fatigue of the previous two days. At noon, enjoy brunch at Qiwei Specialty Braised Oil Pan, and then go to Maotai Town (about 1.5 hours' drive) to visit the Wine Culture Museum and the winemaking workshop, and taste Maotai liquor of different years. Return to Zunyi in the evening and stay at Guomao Hotel to experience a different hotel style.
Day 4: Depending on your return time, you can take a short walk in Phoenix Mountain Park in the city to overlook the panoramic view of the city, or go to the local market to buy Zunyi egg cakes, square bamboo shoots and other specialties as souvenirs.
In terms of transportation, scenic spots in Zunyi City are relatively concentrated, and taxi fares are basically less than 15 yuan, which is very affordable. It is recommended to charter a car or join a one-day tour to visit Wujiang Village, Maotai Town and other surrounding attractions to avoid the trouble of transferring. For example, the itinerary arranged by the tour guide Xiaojing, leaving professional matters to professionals is both worry-free and cost-effective.
The best travel seasons are spring and autumn to avoid the humidity in summer and the cold in winter. Especially from April to May, flowers bloom in the mountains around Zunyi and the climate is pleasant; from September to October, the weather is clear and cool, which is suitable for outdoor activities. Although the Spring Festival is a peak season, you can still feel the special festive atmosphere, but you need to book hotels and transportation in advance.
In terms of cultural etiquette, as a red tourism city, Zunyi should remain solemn when visiting meeting sites and other memorial halls; respect local customs when visiting ethnic minority villages, and it is best to obtain consent before taking photos. Guizhou people are warm and hospitable, but their food tends to be spicy. When ordering, you can adjust the spiciness according to your taste.
With Guizhou's visa-free transit policy extended to 240 hours (10 days), international tourists now have more time to explore Zunyi and its surrounding areas. Whether you are a history lover, nature seeker or food hunter, this "turning point city" can bring you a rich and diverse travel experience. As a smart station during your journey, Jiulong Yipin Hotel will make your trip to Zunyi more perfect and unforgettable with its technological convenience and warm service.
