A must visit museum for all space fans!

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is one of the most impressive museums I have ever been to. It is free yet has so much to offer. It’s massive and very well spaced out. It is very easy to navigate and an incredible place for aviation and space explorers. My personal favorite was seeing the Apollo 11 exhibit. The interactive simulators make it fun for everyone. Even the wright brothers section was impressive. There is also an IMax theater here if you wish to catch a movie. To conclude, you just can’t miss this museum if you are in Washington DC. It’s really a good one.

Dulles Air and Space Museum.
The Dulles Air and Space Museum is actually the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. It is a branch located in Chantilly, Virginia, adjacent to Washington Dulles International Airport. The museum is a very large exhibition venue for aircraft and spacecraft, with many precious exhibits, including the famous Discovery Space Shuttle, Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft, etc.
The center is divided into two main exhibition areas: one is the aviation exhibition hall, and the other is the space exhibition hall. The aviation exhibition hall displays many historically important aircraft, while the space exhibition hall displays the development history of various spacecraft and related technologies. In addition, the museum also provides activities such as simulated flight experience and movie screenings, allowing visitors to better understand the history and technology of aviation and space.

Free Admission to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC Air and Space Museum
📍Air and Space Museum
✅ Free admission, but advance online reservation is required!! Same-day reservations seem to be a bit competitive. Same-day admission tickets are released on a first-come, first-served basis at 8:30 AM on the day! Advance reservations are also possible, so I recommend making a reservation in advance.
There is a cafe if you go down to the basement. It has a cute Mars Cafe concept, but the price is a bit evil🥲
As someone who loves space, this was a very informative and fun museum! Make a reservation in advance and definitely go😆👍

The National Air and Space Museum in the United States is open
The long-awaited Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. is finally open! This exhibition hall located in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is free. Every time I want to go, I will check whether the Aerospace Museum is open to the public. In mid-October, the opening day finally arrived! However, you need to make an appointment in advance for holidays. The staff at the door told me that if you don't make an appointment in advance, you definitely can't enter. Even if the appointment time is a little late, you can go in for a visit. During Thanksgiving, there are still two exhibition halls under renovation, but the already open exhibition halls are enough for people to visit for a whole day. The exhibition content includes the Wright brothers, early aircraft, other modes of transportation, as well as cosmic planets and space exploration. The hall is full of airplanes, although there are many people, the distance between the exhibits is very close, and you will not feel crowded at all, but it will bring people a shocking and dreamy feeling. In addition, the souvenir shop occupies the entire two floors!

Space on earth @National Air and Space
One of my favorite museums to see in DC. I love everything that you can learn about aviation and space exploration here! You should reserve free tickets online for a specific time slot and show up about 15 minutes early.
We had our tickets for a Sunday and it was crazy packed. Arrive 15 minutes late put us in the back of the line. Everyone got through very quickly at our assigned time so it’s no big stress but it was pretty crowded.
I love the planetarium they have put in. We watched Dark Universe there and it was stunning to see. Like a large IMAX theatre.
There are a lot of great exhibits and we probably got stuck learning about the science of flight from Orville and Wilbur Wright. Very interesting and detailed exhibit that we literally spent an hour on.
We spent 2-3 hours here and I highly recommend that you plan a full day here to read and learn as much as you can, if you love that kind of stuff. There’s a cafe downstairs that you can go for lunch and to have a little break you til 5pm. When we were there the museum closed at 5:30pm and 2-5:30pm was not enough time for everything. You can definitely break it into a couple of days if you like too but there is so much to see so don’t force yourself to see everything and wear yourself out because the other days are going to be a pain if you’re dealing with blisters or something like that.
Besides that have a lot of fun and learn well!
