If you have plenty of time, it's a good idea to spend two days in Haikou and then move on to Wanning or Sanya. 🌊1⃣2⃣ Xixiu Beach Park I've been to this beach twice. The sea is beautiful and clean, and the surrounding greenery is excellent. Even the toilets are beautiful. When the sun is too strong, you can sit under the coconut trees for shade or on the ample seating. The sunset is stunning, and the beach is very large, perfect for a walk.🌅 🏛3⃣ Qilou Old Street A very characteristic old street with a full retro vibe. The place in the first picture is the third floor of Shangnantang, where you can overlook the old street scenery. The food here is good, and there are window seats for taking photos, which are even more beautiful! You can ask if you can reserve a window seat in advance, as they are very popular.😃 🌄4⃣ Rongshanliao Village This is a small fishing village, especially suitable for watching the sunset. It's beautiful and quiet, with some seaside cafes around where you can sit and quietly watch the sunset. But remember to take a taxi back a bit earlier, as it's quite far from the city center.😕 🎈5⃣6⃣ Longxing Road This is a relatively chill road with cafes, food, and vintage shops. But the road is not long. The most surprising place is the Zebra Yard Cafe at 6⃣, which is very suitable for i people, and it's very large inside. Qilou Old Street is a surreal little area in the middle of Haikou, Hainan. For brief moments it really does feel like you are walking down the streets of a traditional Portuguese town. There were some cute little cafes and boutique shops to wander around, ideal if you want to spend an afternoon there just taking it easy and drinking coffee. Best way to get there is probably a didi. A walk down this street in Haikou is a nice way to spend an hour or two. The buildings are well maintained and the streets nice and clean. There are some lovely coffee shops along the way which are worth a visit. Longhua District Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, Haikou 570102 China The Qi Lou food street is one that you should not miss out. The food street offers a variety of foods. From chicken and pigs parts to deep fried chicken cutlet and grilled squid. They taste good and are not expensive. The food street starts operations in the evening time. Head there with an empty stomach to taste all the delicious food. There are many buses that stops at the front of the Qi Lou food street. The bus ticket is 1 yuan no matter how long you stay inside the bus. Do visit the place when you are at Haikou to experience the food culture and live like the hainanese. #bucketlistreboot

Longhua District Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, Haikou 570102 China Qilou street is the oldest street in haikou. The street has been there for centuries. A walk along the street brings you back to the 70s where shophouses are selling dried goods and some of the stores are selling apparel. A deep walk inside the alley brings you to where the villagers live. There are shop houses selling food and beverages. You can order fast food there. Fast food means economical rice. They call it fast food because you can get your meal fast after selecting the dishes to go with your rice. The place is cooling and brings you back to your memories. What an amazing experience visiting Qilou old street is. You can really admire the vintage architecture while enjoying the modern day benefits of today. 😍 I stayed at the Metropolo Jin Jiang Hotel. The location is very convenient as it's close to the railway station and not too far from Haikou's attractions 🤞 Getting There - taxi from the hotel. Attractions - Haikou bell tower, old town architecture, Zhongshan road. Hotels - Metropolo Jin Jiang Hotel. Food & Restaurants - tradition tea houses and Chinese restaurants on Zhongshan road. Shopping - lots of different little stores on Zhongshan road to buy most things like food or jewelry. I'd highly recommend this attraction if you're in Haikou 🤩

Make sure to set out 2~3 hours to walk around and explore. There are a few beautiful streets aligned with each other. It can be quite crowded so be sure to wear your mask. The best time to go would be early morning, you can then easily snap away without any photo bombers in the background. There are many small restaurants in the street that sell local dishes, such as coconut chicken. This old part of the city is a remnant of its history as a port inhabited some years ago by the Brits, French and Americans. Zhongshan Road(Last picture) is also part of the area. Location 🗺: Phase 2 of Pobo Jiayuan (on Pobolu Road👆) 2️⃣ Funbay Zizaiwan [Photos 5-6] This is a newly popular internet-famous area. The most popular attraction is the "Silly Tree". There are also many beautiful restaurants + a bayside walking area. Location: Yu Hai Zhi Yue Restaurant (have the driver take you inside) 3️⃣ Haida South Gate Night Market [Photos 7-12] As night falls, around 7pm, you can head here➡ one of the most concentrated + liveliest places to eat in Haikou at night. The variety of food is similar to night markets across the country. [Highly Recommended] Hainan Pickled Noodles (you can ask for less vinegar) + oysters/scallops + tropical fruits (must be freshly cut. Some vendors will claim they are freshly cut, but put the spoiled ones at the bottom, so be sure to watch them cut before buying). [Avoid] Takoyaki + fried chicken fillet (I tried three places, and it was definitely the worst chicken fillet I've ever had) + unknown meats (really unsanitary). 4️⃣ Arcade Culture Street [Photos 13-16] Not far from Haida South Gate is Arcade Culture Street, about a 20-minute walk from the sea. Along the way, you can see the Haikou Clock Tower (it's beautiful at night with the lights on). Arcade Culture Street is a collection of food, drink, and entertainment (you must try the Hainan Qingbuliang there). You can also enjoy the arcade culture and light show.
