Traveling to Melbourne in search of wine. Traveling from the airport to Southern Cross Station, we walked around central Melbourne. The warm climate is very comfortable. Trams are also running, and time flies when you're looking around. For the wine tour, a tour bus comes to pick you up at the hotel early in the morning. It's an 80-minute drive to Yarra Valley. We stop at a convenience store on the way. There are three wineries. We also have lunch at a winery. Please note that there are generally no interpreters. I bought a myki card to use when riding trains and trams in Melbourne, so I'll post it here for reference. You don't need a myki card in the free tram zone in central Melbourne. However, some routes go outside the free zone, so you should be careful until you get used to it. I bought a myki card at Southern Cross Station! I wanted to use Campbellwell Station and Prahran Station in one day, so I charged it for one day instead of two hours to be generous. I paid 6 AUD for the card + 7.6 AUD for unlimited rides in one day. Please note that the card fee is not a deposit and is not refundable! I paid the price for unlimited rides in one day, but I think they will refund it if it was within two hours. They will also tell you the platform number, so don't worry and ask them. #australiatrip I know is crazy but this is one of the experience that we wanted to try traveling from Melbourne ton Sydney by train. The train ticket as expensive as flight tickets . The train station in Melbourne is easy to find . There are also many got stall to sell food and express market for you to buy food . You can take the food onboard too. ✅be there at least 1 hour early if you not familiar with the train station . No one is checking out ticket when we enter to the train station . ✅ Checked in luggage for 20kg. If carrying any luggage you can checked in for free limit to 20kg. Anything more than 20kg they will not allowed you check in. You need to find the check in counter before you onboard . ✅every row has it own toilet located at the back of the seats. The toilet is clean and neat . ✅food onboard , no one is selling food onboard but there are a stall selling food onboard . Just follow the sign of “buffet” . ✅seat was okay, got a tray infront of of you. I take a window seat that’s is why I can have some good sleep. ❌no WiFi onboard so you need to use your own data . Suggest to pre download some movie becuase the network is really bad . I can’t event load my YouTube . If you want to save one night accommodation , this is the best way for you to traveling to Sydney by train. Cost effective :)
