St Dunstan-in-the-East – Where nature and history entwine
Hidden between London Bridge and the Tower of London, St Dunstan-in-the-East is a hauntingly beautiful Gothic ruin, transformed into a tranquil public garden.
Named after St Dunstan, a 10th-century monk, the original church was heavily damaged in the Great Fire of London in 1666, and later destroyed almost entirely during World War II bombings.
Today, what’s left—towering stone arches, ivy-covered walls, and sun-dappled cloisters—is a place for quiet reflection and timeless beauty.
