St. Nicholas Church is the most beautiful Baroque church in Prague. It stands on the Lesser Town Square. Its magnificent dome, towering bell tower, and complex interior decoration are all called the model of Baroque. Historical background At the beginning of the 18th century, the church was built on the original site of the Gothic church of the same name. The famous Baroque architect Kryštof Dientzenhofer was responsible for the design of the building, which completed the facade and atrium of the church. After his death, his son Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer completed the altar and the stunning dome, and then his son-in-law Anselmo Lurago added the bell tower. It took three generations and more than a century to complete. The appearance of the gorgeous Baroque church is very eye-catching. The towering bell tower, white building with bronze roof, is undoubtedly a landmark on the left bank of the Vltava River. Walking into the church, you can see the complex and gorgeous interior decoration, the elegant main altar, and the lifelike frescoes, which are very Baroque and magnificent. At the same time, the indoor wonderful light effect, the dome with a diameter of 20 meters and a height of 49 meters, is amazing. Among the many works of art in the church, the "Holy Trinity" above the altar painted by Francis Xavier Palek and the statues of the four priests sculpted by Ignaz Platzer. Music performance The organ in the church has a good sound. Mozart played the organ in the church when he lived in Prague. The church currently has concerts at 6pm every night except Thursdays from late March to early November, many of which are Mozart.

Holy Monastery of St. Nicholas of the Cats
#celebrateit
Construction originally began on the monastery in 327 on the island of Cyprus under the patronage of Saint Helena. As legend has it, a terrible drought afflicted the island during this time, allowing venomous snakes to proliferate, driving off not only the builders of the monastery, but even island locals.
Helena's solution to the infestation was to fight snakes with cats, and she had 1,000 of the furry killers shipped to the island from Persia and Egypt. Soon the savior had trained the felines to react to two bells: one signaling feeding time, and the other signaling snake hunting time. After battles that reportedly left the cats missing eyes and noses, the snakes were all but eradicated from the island and the monastery was completed.

The Old Town Square is naturally the place with the most tourists, and the children who have summer vacations are having fun in the world of colorful bubbles. Continued from the Old Town Square, it is St. Nicholas Church, quietly listening to a prayer, the Old City may have her more original historical charm.

St. Nichol
St. Nicholas Church is just around the corner of the Old Town Square. It is the representative of the Baroque architecture of the Czech capital, Prague City, and the most beautiful baroque church in the city.
Baroque architecture, the church is small but exquisite, and the ceiling of the church depicts the frescoes of St. Nicholas, the life of St. Benedict and the Old Testament story.
The large chandeliers in the church are also very beautiful, from the hands of top artists, all of them are extremely elaborate.
