Just rolled back from Tallinn, Estonia With sore feet from cobblestones, here's the hard truth‼️ The fairytale filter shattered 😭 but the beauty is truly breathtaking!! #europetrip While not as much of a steal as people told me it would be. The prices were still better than places in western Europe. I've come to admire the architecture in Estonian cities. Tallinn has preserved its old-world flare, boasting ancient churches, medieval constructions, and palaces.Its imposing fortress walls, cobblestone streets, and medieval architecture transport you back in time. Aside from its historical value, the Old Town is also incredibly photogenic, like something straight out of a post card. Take a stroll along quaint streets, admire the Town Hall Square, medieval churches like St. Nicholas’ Church and St. Olaf’s Church, and climb St. Olaf’s Tower to take in the picturesque view of the iconic red rooftops. Communicating with locals or seeking directions wasnt an issue at all. Surprisingly it seemed a lot of people did speak english. From a distance some locals can come across as unfriendly or not keen. However, my interactions were mostly good. Do visit the open air museum too. I managed to try my first traditional Estonian meal over there. Otherwise I had been obsessed with eating italian food in places I didn't have a clue of. A visit to a museum is also worth your time.
