About a 10-minute walk from Strasbourg Station. There is a historical building called Vauban Dam. It was once part of a fortress. You can enter for free, and after climbing the stairs there is a low observation deck. From there you can see the cityscape of Strasbourg around the Pont Couverts Bridge, so it's a hidden gem that we highly recommend! There are few people around this area, and there is a park nearby, so families were spending their time relaxing there. There are also many colorful and cute buildings nearby, so it's a fun place to just walk around. Many various bridges connect the area, reflecting its historical soul. Among them, the most captivating is the medieval Ponts Couverts with its four ancient towers. As one of the iconic buildings in the Strasbourg city center, this historic bridge is praised for its elegance and unique design. From the bridge, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful Strasbourg city center. Nearby is the 17th-century Vauban Dam (part of the Vauban fortifications).
