Cameron Highlands Travel Recommendations
In Malaysia's Cameron Highlands, a January trip offers a unique experience. Beyond tea plantations and strawberries, you'll find the stunning Kyoho grapes!
The KC Kwang and Sons Vineyard in Kampung Raja is a fantastic free attraction. January, February, October, and November are grape harvest seasons. As you enter the vineyard, you'll see rows of grapevines laden with purple Kyoho grapes, creating a dreamlike scene. These grapes have a subtle wine aroma, and a gentle bite releases a burst of juice, offering a taste unmatched by common varieties. Whether for personal enjoyment or as a gift, they leave a lasting impression.
Here, light and shadow dance beneath the grapevines, making every photo a masterpiece. Remember to respect farm rules when taking photos—capture the moment without touching! You can only pick grapes during harvest season.
Kyoho grapes here cost RM25 per box (about 500g), offering a sweet, juicy, and delightful taste. There's also grape enzyme, priced at RM70 per bottle, naturally fermented with a unique wine-like flavor. Fresh vegetables are also affordable, with any four packs for just RM10, fresher than those at the market!
This vineyard is perfect for family outings. Besides grapes, it grows tomatoes, bell peppers, and more, allowing kids to learn about crop growth—a fun and educational family trip.
The vineyard is open from 8 am to 6 pm, with free admission! However, since grapes are seasonal, it's best to call ahead to confirm availability.
