River Quay Green: A healing corner at dusk
#5月好去处2025
Walking to River Quay Green on the South Bank in the evening, I unexpectedly discovered this grassy space with a great view and a super chill atmosphere. Facing the Brisbane River and the city center skyline, it is a perfect corner for picnics, relaxation, and watching the sunset.
At that time, the sun was slowly setting towards the horizon, the sky was dyed orange, the river was shining, and the whole city looked particularly soft and peaceful. There were already quite a few people sitting on the grass. Some people laid picnic mats and chatted while eating, some people just stared at the other side in a daze, and there were couples walking hand in hand. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed.
There are also several highly rated restaurants nearby, which seem to be suitable for dining here in the evening and enjoying the night view. If you come early and bring some snacks or drinks, you can find a corner of the grass to sit down, listen to live music (sometimes there will be street performers), and watch the city slowly turn from day to night.
Overall, River Quay Green gives me the feeling of a place where you can "do nothing, but everything is just right." For someone like me who wants to find a quiet moment during the trip, it is really worth a visit.
