Next time I go to Singapore, I will choose the studio M Hotel which is very cost-effective.
For someone like me who likes to travel independently, staying in a satisfactory hotel will add a lot of beauty to the journey, so I will compare the hotel location, room comfort, price, hotel facilities, breakfast, and service to choose a hotel with the best cost-effectiveness.
September is the period of Singapore F1 race. I chose Studio M Hotel which is very cost-effective. I chose executive loft river view room with an area of 237 square feet. It costs about HKD 2,000 per night including a breakfast. The room is bright, simple and stylish without losing the warmth. I stayed there for 6 days and felt very good.
Firstly, the hotel is ideally located at Robertson Quay, with very convenient transportation. The subway station and bus station are near the hotel, and there are many specialty restaurants, bars and convenience stores around. In addition, the hotel is close to the river, and the environment is comfortable and beautiful. After dinner, I took a walk along the river bank, and I could feel the unique tranquility and comfort, which gave me an atmosphere that I could not feel in Hong Kong.
Secondly, the hotel is only 1.1 kilometers away from the well-known entertainment center Clarke Quay. It takes about 10 minutes to walk along the riverside path from the hotel to the bustling Clarke Quay, which is convenient for sightseeing and finding delicious food. It is only 1.2 km to the bustling Orchard Road shopping district, 1.33 km to Chinatown, and 1.6 km to the National Museum of Singapore. You can easily walk to your destination without taking public transportation.
Third, the hotel’s rooms are uniquely designed, with a two-story loft design. The bottom floor is a lounge area with a sofa that can be turned into a small bed, and the top floor is a comfortable large bed. The rooms are elegantly decorated and equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. There is free fast Wi-Fi and USB charging sockets in many places in the room, which is very convenient. The room also offers a mini fridge, safe, tea bags and instant coffee, free toiletries, mineral water and slippers. The mineral water can be refilled for free, which is very generous.
Fourthly, the hotel’s second-floor terrace garden has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and gymnasium, as well as several resort-style lounges, where I can lie comfortably on the large sofa chair, swipe my phone and sip coffee, feeling free.
Fifth, although the hotel’s breakfast does not have many varieties, it is very exquisite. The dining area is located in a semi-open-air restaurant surrounded by plants on the second floor of the hotel. The environment is comfortable and beautiful. Guests can dine by the fountain garden and feel the fresh morning breeze of Singapore, which is very comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast offers Asian and Western cuisine, and each dish is carefully prepared and tastes just as good as the breakfasts at branded five-star hotels. The Chinese breakfast changes every day and never feels monotonous.
Although this hotel does not have the luxury of a five-star hotel, it is a good choice if you have certain requirements for hotel location, price and comfort.
Overall, I give Studio M Hotel an overall score of 8, which is a great value hotel worth staying in.
