The temple was built by Sir Stamford Raffles and designed and built by the famous painter Denis Santry in order to highlight the merits of the Sultan King. It was completed in 1928 and has a golden dome and a huge prayer hall. There are 5 prayers every day from sunrise to sunset. Enter the chapel after a full body bath in the courtyard. Men are in the lobby on the first floor and women are in the lobby on the second floor. General tourists can take off their shoes to visit, but cannot enter the lobby. Visitors are required to wear long trousers when visiting.
