Though it was summer in August for Sapa but heading to the Fansipan Peak is a must. Prepare to be half warm half cold 🤣 at least that was what we experienced! Surprisingly crowded, but the entire journey from Sun Plaza to Fansipan Peak was enjoyable. A must visit place if you are traveling to Sapa! There are few ways to get into Fansipan and one of them is using cable car which cost about $40 for 2 ways. If you combine with the buffet, it will be about $50. The cable car take about 20mins and the views are nice! We were lucky as the weather is very good when we visited the place at 16th Oct 2023, which is the spring and the temperature is about 14 degree. However, you won’t really feel cold when as the sun light is quite strong. The Fansipan peak is about 600 stairs/ steps from the cable car exit, where you can see the Buddha and Guan Yin statue in close distance if you choose to climb up by stairs. Alternatively, you can also reach to the peak by using monorail which cost about $3 one way. It takes about 6 mins. The whole visit may take you min 5 hours to have a comfortable walks and photo taking as well as taking the buffet. The buffet is from 11am to 3pm. #sapa #fansipan

Aftet visiting the place, both of us agreed that it is one of the most beautiful place we ever been to. We tried to reach the Fansipan summit but due to the weather condition and us being out of shape, we couldn’t do it. It was almost zero visibility when we went there and it was also starting to rain. I got lost since I took Grab up to the top of the mountain, apparently, you can take a train (part of the ticket) from Sapa Downtown (so don’t follow my mistake). The cable car takes around 25 minutes going up. Once on top, you take a few walks, and can take another train to the top. The weather here is very cold, so make sure you are fully equip with the right clothing (I almost fainted due to the cold). Once on top, you can enjoy tea or coffee. Going down, you can choose to walk to the cable car going down, or buy a separate train ticket to the cable car, then down with the cable car. You can see a lot of attractions, but cable car stops its service by 3:30pm, and the last train to Sapa by 4:00pm. I advice a full day here so you won’t be in a hurry like me. 🤗

Took the train from Sapa Station to the cable car to the funicular train and then around 100 more steps to reach the peak of Fansipan. The wind and fog made it extremely cold!! Do bring warm insulation to wear and WATERPROOF shoes!!! The ground will be wet from the condensation and it will freeze your toes. Though we were unable to see the views due to the mist, it gave a mysterious scene like in Harry Potter. The fog cleared up mostly in the afternoon. So you would have better chance to see the view when it’s not raining + in the afternoon. We went in mid March 2024 for clarification! Climbing Fansipan was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam. I’d heard so much about it being the “Roof of Indochina,” towering at over 3,000 meters, and I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype. I decided to take the cable car, because, let's face it, I wasn’t quite ready for a full-on trek. But even the cable car ride was incredible. As it glided up the mountain, I was glued to the window, watching the endless terraces of rice fields, thick green valleys, and little waterfalls that seemed hidden away between the peaks. Then we went even higher, and suddenly we were above the clouds, which felt unreal—like we were floating in another world. Once we got to the station near the summit, there was still a bit of a climb up the stairs to reach the very top. Even though I was a little winded, it was totally worth it. The view from the summit?
