Taichung|Japanese architecture in the city
The Taichung Literature Museum was formerly a police dormitory during the Japanese colonial period and has a history of nearly a hundred years. After being registered as a historical building, this group of buildings that carry the history of Taichung has been transformed into the Taichung Literature Museum.
The Taichung Literature Museum is located in the Taichung Literature Park. Before entering the museum, take a stroll in the park and admire the decorations filled with bookish poetry. Your body and mind will gradually be immersed in the literary atmosphere. The lush green garden makes people feel relaxed. Even if you don't visit the museum, it is a good place to just take a walk.
The Taichung Literature Museum includes the permanent Hall 1, Hall 2, children's literature, special theme exhibitions and the Xinghui Literary Café. You can learn about the different literary landscapes of Taichung in the permanent exhibition, and there are also some interactive areas that allow you to better understand Taichung literature.
⭐️Xinghui Literary Coffee
Xinghui Literary Café is a literature-themed restaurant with Japanese-style private rooms and ordinary seats, allowing everyone to spend the afternoon in such a retro atmosphere, talking about life, writing poetry, just like the literary masters of the past.
Literature is never independent; it is often related to the society of the time. If you want to understand the life of a city or an era, reading local literature is the most interesting and easiest way to get started. If you want to have a deeper and more detailed understanding of Taichung, the Taichung Literature Museum would be a very good attraction.
