The elevator will take you to the 89th floor first. The 360-degree panoramic view, standing on the 89th floor, looking at Taipei is amazing. It turns out that this is the city where we live in everyday. It is really shocking to stand at a high altitude and look down. I am still looking over there to see which direction my house is, and see if I can see the major buildings in Taipei. Things: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Dome, A13 APPLE and Songshan Airport. When the sun is about to set in the east, you can see 101 reflected on Xiangshan Mountain, which is really a different feeling. Personally, I think it's very suitable to come in the afternoon, as you can see the sunset during the day and the scenery at night. At first, I thought it would be boring, but we didn't know that we stayed there for more than three hours and still didn't get enough of it. There are many devices to take pictures here, whether it is daytime or sunset, it is very easy to take pictures at night. Additionally, the outdoor observatory on the 91st floor, at an altitude of 390 meters, offers an infinite view of the horizon. The elevator to the Taipei 101 observatory is the fastest high-speed elevator I've ever taken, reaching the 89th floor in less than a minute! The curved TV wall on the 5th floor allows you to comfortably enjoy the day and night views of Greater Taipei from the seats in front of it. Inside Taipei 101, there's a giant golden damper ball that reduces wind sway at high altitudes, making it feel like you're on solid ground even on the 91st floor. Taipei 101 Observatory would have been much prettier if the weather was a little better I almost regretted not going up here ㅠ_ㅠ I think the observatory is a must, not an option, when traveling abroad If you want to see the beautiful scenery of Taipei, you must visit the 101 Observatory! There are various photo zones and they sell souvenirs, so feel free to enjoy them 💗 In particular, the photos come out pretty no matter where you take them 📸 📍Souvenirs Before going up to the observatory, there is a chopstick vending machine near the entrance where you can get your chopsticks engraved. Be sure to buy some chopsticks here! You can get your initials engraved, and they are pretty. 📍Tickets Please note that there are tickets for only going up to the 89th floor and tickets for going up to the 89th and 101st floors. However, the Taipei 101 Observatory itself was really nice, but the elevator line was really long. #SummerIsSummer Taipei's symbol. !! Taipei 101, the 9th tallest building in the world with a height of 509.2m. I think I paid about 25,000 won to enter. I took the world's fastest elevator and went up to the 89th floor observation deck in 37 seconds and it felt really fun!! ㅋㅋ The telescope also supports Korean, and the outdoor observation deck was nice. It's amazing to look down at the city full of lights wherever you go ;) There's a shopping mall from the basement level 1 to the 5th floor, which was nice. It is considered to be the tallest building in Taipei, just like the Oriental Pearl of Shanghai. You need to go up to the fifth floor to buy tickets. They cost NT$600 and HKD120. From the fifth floor, it takes only 37 seconds to reach the highest point, which is about 380 meters. It moves at an average rate of 10 meters per second all the way up to the 89th floor. Here, there is a 360-degree view from the Panoramic Viewing Platform, allowing you to see Taipei without anything in the way. There is a huge screen that features notes that talk about the different famous buildings in Taipei. You can visit Taipei as per your needs.

The only downside is, who would have thought that one person could stay in a motel? I did! 😅 Attractions Taipei 101 Observatory 🏙️ I planned to go to the 89th floor to overlook the cityscape of Taipei 👀, but it rained heavily. The receptionist kindly advised me not to go up, saving me TWD 600! Although I didn't see the magnificent city view, I saved time and money. 💰 Simple Kaffa ☕ A popular coffee shop in Taipei! I wanted to dine in, but the wait was 2 hours, and takeout was 1 hour? However, buying a cup of coffee allows you to go to the 88th floor of Taipei 101 for free, which is a great deal! If you want to save money, book online in advance. 🎫 Mengjia Longshan Temple 🏯 One of the oldest temples in Taipei. It is crowded with visitors. I sincerely prayed for a smooth relationship in front of the Matchmaker Temple. I also used the "Zhou Chu Eliminates Three Evils" soap, haha! 🧼 Qingshan Temple 🏮 Not far from Longshan Temple, it is very quiet and not crowded! It is a good place for solo travelers to meditate. It feels like a pure land. 🧘‍♂️ Night Market Exploration 5. Shilin Night Market 🌟 Shilin Night Market is bustling. Most people line up to buy grilled king oyster mushrooms, and there are many Japanese tourists, creating a lively atmosphere. However, I think the pepper cake tastes similar to a meat pie, delicious but not surprising. 🍴 Elephant Mountain 🏞️ Climb to the top of the mountain and enjoy the panoramic view of Taipei 101, which is breathtaking! But remember to wear sunscreen, as the sun in Taipei is not to be underestimated. I also saw big spiders 🕷️, big snails 🐌, and beautiful butterflies 🦋, a must-visit for nature lovers. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall ⛲ I happened to encounter the SDGs event "Awakening Waves", and the exhibition in the memorial hall was rich and interesting, which was touching. After the visit, I felt recharged for my environmental actions! 🔋 Food Carnival 8. Raohe Night Market 🍢 A night market recommended by locals, it is cleaner than Shilin Night Market. There are so many kinds of food that it is dazzling. I couldn't eat them all, and I wanted to eat all the snacks in one go! 😋 Day 2: Leisurely Tour of Yilan 🚗 Transportation: Depart from Taipei, take a bus, and arrive at Jiaoxi, Yilan after an hour. It is a hot spring resort with beautiful scenery and fresh air. 🏨 Accommodation recommendation: Stay at Hotel PIN. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is a hot spring pool, which is a good place to relax after a long day. 🍃 Attractions Jimmy Park in Yilan 🎨 If you like taking photos, don't miss it. Jimmy's sculptures are a perfect combination of art and nature. Standing next to the sculptures, it feels like being in a fantasy world. 📸 Dongmen Night Market 🌆 A night market recommended by locals, featuring sorghum wine sausage, scallion pancakes, salt and pepper chicken, starfruit juice, etc. The small night market is full of food. 🍢 Yishun Xuan 🧀 A souvenir shop in Yilan, must-buy items include cheddar cheese and ox tongue cake. The products will leave you wanting more! 🍪 Beach and Nature 4. Waiao Beach 🏖️ A good place for paragliding. Remember to check the weather before departure. Paragliding gives you an unprecedented sense of freedom. The price is TWD 1,200, and the fee will be refunded if the weather is not suitable for flying. Flying over the black sand beach is so cool! 🪂 Octagonal Lookout 🌅 Climb to the lookout, and the scenery is breathtaking. Taoyuan Airport Shopping 🛍️ If you haven't bought enough souvenirs on your return trip, Taoyuan Airport is a shopping paradise. You can get a tax refund for purchases over TWD 2,000, and the staff will assist you. 🛫 This trip is full of natural scenery and historical culture, and each attraction has its unique charm. The modern city of Taipei and the tranquility of Yilan form a sharp contrast, giving me a completely different travel experience. The Taipei 101 observatory is located on top of the tallest building in the city, I highly recommend to go there around sunset especially during golden hour for a better light. There are corners where you can take stunning pics, there are small souvenir shops but what I found wonderful was the tuned mass damper, read about it before going because it explains how skyscrapers fight against potential earthquakes.
