Magnificent rain trees, many over 100 years old, line the lake along Jalan Pekeling, with giant branches extending over the water and providing shade and a peaceful ambience for walkers. The gardens comprise West Lake, South Lake, Jungle Lake and a number of smaller lakes, ponds and islands linked by footpaths and decorative bridges. At night some of the bridges are colourfully illuminated. #2023travelwish We had a wonderful walk in Taiping Lake Gardens admiring the beautiful century-old raintrees. The large trunks of trees growing towards the lake, just like a Ballerina bending her body, so gracefully. I saw the local authority helping to install some metal legs to support the trunks from falling. Hopefully the raintrees stay strong. Many locals are cycling, jogging, and exercising in this lovely serene place. The Pagoda Cina was stunningly beautiful at night. Must try the Milo drink sold by a vendor in the park, it's so good. Plenty of parking here, no hassle, and it's free. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature walks. Next year I wish to travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. A beautiful park with breathtaking scenery here at The Raintree Walk, Taiping, Perak. As we arrived, there were already a lot of people mainly with families spending their weekend here. The weather was good thus it’s so relaxing to enjoy the walk in the park. There’s cycling activities here where you can rent a few types of bike to cycle around the park. Every spot here is definitely instagrammable worth. If you would walk a bit further, you can enjoy a boatride at the lake. Overall, it was worth spending our weekend here after a tiring work-week. To enjoy a relaxing and calming weekend is never wrong.

This is the first time we visited Taiping lake and it was the quite unique experience since we could stand in the middle of the lake.. Because I just had 1 day trip so actually I haven’t been too much places around. If the next time I come back to Taiping, for sure I will spend more time and look around the town. When I walked around here, I feel so peaceful and relaxing.

Taiping, the 150 years old city (1874-2024), one of the oldest in Malaysia. Taiping Lake Garden a prestigious landmark for Taiping, unfortunately only the Raintree Walks is properly maintain, other spots like the Lotus Pond, the Dinasaur Rock Garden, the 114yo Lake Jetty, the play ground with cement slides (>50yo), the once beautiful clock tower, aren't in good shape and not proper maintain. Love to see if once the popular Lake View Hotel can restore! Still visit Taiping Lake in the future.

Beautiful lake and garden that is locals favourite and one of the famous tourist attraction in Taiping, this place is highly recommended for nature enthusiast and photographers! Besides, there are some fun activities that can be done here like boat pedalling or rent a bicycle to cycle around the park! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

Have a 1 day trip to Taiping, really inspired by the lake, a peaceful place with the lake and mountains view! We have a walk surround lake and enjoy the view! We also rented a “tricycle” for 30mins, and cycled along the lake, good outdoor exercise in the evening! Will come again next to visit this amazing place, a suitable place to retire? Haha.. Hotel Grand Baron Taiping, Perak. The hotel is very near to the beautiful lake. we spent a good one hour there just to enjoy the sounds of birds, the fresh air of water and tree. the lake was quite well maintained, clean and organized. By the way, the price is very reasonable and the breakfast included was good. Nevertheless we missed out the street food due to time constraint.
