I went to Takashima Castle in Suwa. I stayed at Kami-Suwa Onsen and walked around Lake Suwa, and after a short walk I found Takashima Castle. It's a small castle, but quite beautiful. It's a bit of a walk from Kami-Suwa Station to Motohiro, but you can get there on foot. There seems to be a bus, but it doesn't run often, so it might be better to take a taxi there and walk back. It's not that famous, so there aren't many tourists. The moat is beautiful and nice.

It was a crisp spring morning around 8 AM when I took these pictures, and it felt like the perfect time to capture the beauty of the castle grounds. 🏰 The air was cool and refreshing, and everything around was so calm—just the kind of peaceful escape I needed. 🌸 I’m loving the experience of living here in Suwa, where the rhythm of the seasons flows so naturally. In the summer, I get to enjoy the thermal waters of the hot springs, which is such a relaxing treat after a day of sightseeing. 🛀 Plus, the town’s charm really shines through in the way people greet you with warmth and kindness. Takashima Castle, also known as Suwa's floating castle or Shimazaki Castle. It is one of the three major lake towns in Japan. From JR Kamisuwa Station, it takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach the outskirts of Takashima Castle. Takashima Castle's castle tower was rebuilt. The stone walls of the Honmaru are all planted with cherry trees. But since we came here in May, the flowers are not in bloom yet.
