Wallace Grand Opening in Taman Desa Cemerlang
#eatlikealocal
Wallace has just opened a new outlet in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor Bahru, and they’ve got some crazy deals going on! You can get one whole spring chicken for only RM19.90. Plus, they’re giving out free popcorn and ice cream during the grand opening – how cool is that?
They’ve got other awesome promotions too, like two chicken burgers for RM12, buy 1 get 1 free drinks, and more. The food is really tasty, with crispy chicken that’s not oily at all. The flour isn’t thick, and everything is served hot and fresh. Perfect spot to check out if you're craving some good fried chicken!

Herbal Tea from Fu Zheng Gallery
Traditional herbal tea is a soothing elixir that not only tantalizes the taste buds but also serves as a remedy for the heatiness that can ail us in our fast-paced lives. I always buy herbal tea like Luo Han Guo, Chrysanthemum, Jiang Huo Wang from Fu Zheng Chinese Gallery, these herbal infusion have been carefully curated to balance the body's internal energies, making it particularly effective against the perils of "heatiness" that can result from stress, a fast-food diet, or an imbalanced lifestyle.

My Favourite Makan Places in Desa Cemerlang
#malaysia
Foodstop Nanyang Delights: This is truly a hidden gem in Desa Cemerlang. It is located at 2nd floor of the shoplot. The cafe boasts tasteful interior design, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere despite its limited seating. Must try their Seafood Aglio-Olio, Rendang Chicken Rice, and Curry Laksa.
Someday Vegetarian Restaurant: This Desa Cemerlang's premier vegetarian restaurant offers beautifully presented dishes, though their prices are a bit higher than your typical local coffee shop. I especially enjoy their creamy mock chicken rice bowl and pasta.
Suan Fong Bakery: This place is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or afternoon tea. You can savor affordable local dishes such as half-boiled eggs, Kaya butter toast, blue pea Nasi Lemak, and Mee Siam. Plus, the owner is known for their friendly service.
The Farm Kitchen: This contemporary cafe features decor in light wooden tones and offers various seating options to cater to your preferences. I recommend their Smoked Salmon Crossaint, Farm Kitchen Brunch, Lemon Tart, Matcha Latte, Chicken Chop, Salted Egg Chicken Rice Bowl, and Creamy Pumpkin Pasta.
Roast & Coffee: This is a branch of the renowned main cafe on Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, celebrated for its authentic Nanyang coffee, tea, and local delicacies. Due to high demand, anticipate a wait as it can get quite busy.

Homestyle CoZy Cafe The Farm Kitchen
#malaysia
The cafe's rustic decor, with wooden beams, vintage furniture, and soft, earthy tones, exudes an unmistakable sense of coziness and nostalgia. The charming mismatched chairs, handmade quilts, and softly lit chandeliers all contribute to the cafe's homely atmosphere.
The menu at "The Farm Kitchen" is a testament to the love and care put into each dish. The chefs here take pride in crafting delectable home-style dishes that celebrate the flavors of the region. Whether it's a hearty bowl of salted egg crispy chicken rice, a plate of waffles with fresh fruits and ice cream or a slice of freshly baked cake, every item on the menu is a culinary masterpiece.
The cafe's cozy nooks and corners offer the perfect retreat for those seeking solace or a quiet moment to catch up on reading or work.

Kak Long 'Ramly' Burger Cemerlang
#wecreate
At its core, a 'Ramly' Burger consists of a juicy beef or chicken patty that is seasoned with a blend of spices and marinated to perfection. The patty is then wrapped in an egg omelet, adding a unique twist to the traditional burger concept. This omelet "blanket" not only enhances the flavor but also provides a moist and tender texture to the burger.
Furthermore, the artistry of 'Ramly' Burger lies in the assortment of toppings and condiments. From sliced onions, cabbage, and tomatoes to mayonnaise, chili sauce, and cheese, each component adds a burst of flavor and creates a harmonious balance. The final touch is a generous drizzle of Worcestershire or black pepper sauce, infusing the burger with an additional layer of zest.

Lao You Yee Coffee Shop Desa Cemerlang
#wecreate
This coffee shop is known for its Kway Teow Teng, the dish primarily made with pork and is renowned for its unique flavor and texture. The main ingredients include pork, noodles, bean sprouts, vegetables, and various seasonings. The pork is sliced into thin pieces or strips and cooked together with the noodles. The cooked noodles and pork are then placed in a bowl with bean sprouts, vegetables, and other garnishes. They are then topped with pork broth. You may add garlic, chili sauce, scallions, and other seasonings to enhance the flavor.

Tyson Coffeeshop Cemerlang Culinary Delights
#malaysiatrip
At Tyson Coffeeshop, it's like stepping into a modern food court packed with different food stalls. There's a wide range of choices to pick from. Personally, I'm a big fan of Wanton Noodles, Fried Oysters, and Zi Char. But that's just scratching the surface; they've got local favorites like Char Kway Teow, Popiah, Nasi Lemak, and even Roast Duck King. And if you're in the mood for something different, they've got fusion Korean and Japanese food too. It's a haven for food lovers!

Restaurant Tyson Tmn Desa Cemerlang JB
#wecreate
This restaurant resembles Kopitiam in Singapore. Nicely renovated, good air ventilation and clean. It has a lot of stalls serving a variety of local cuisines. Two of my favourite stalls are AnJi Steamed Seafood and HaoBi King of Duck. If you prefer something light, I recommend Steamed Fish or Lala with Bee Hoon (RM12), or Hong Kong Style Fish Paste Bee Hoon Soup (RM10). The fish slices and seafood are very fresh. The broth is sweet and flavourful. If you don't like ginger, you may go for Teochew Style Steamed Fish. If you prefer something more filling, I recommend Roast Duck Rice. The meat is tender and nicely marinated with herbs.
Other popular stalls are Ayam Penyet, Nasi Lemak, Hong Kong Style Chee Cheong Fun, Zi Char and more. They also serve Kaya butter toast, half boiled eggs and good coffee or tea. The restaurant or hawker centre is always crowded but service was fast.
