Tan Son Nhat International Airport is the starting point for trips to Ho Chi Minh City. The airport is conveniently located close to the city center, making it easily accessible. Both terminals at Tan Son Nhat International Airport are well-equipped with fast food restaurants and cafes, allowing you to relax during your wait. Additionally, there are several duty-free shops and Vietnamese souvenir stores, making it convenient if you forgot to buy a particular brand or souvenir. You can enjoy your last shopping experience in Vietnam or take a break at a cafe while waiting. There are relaxation facilities offering massages in front of both the international and domestic terminals at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The massage shop inside the international terminal offers Vietnamese-style massages using hot stones, which are highly recommended. On the other hand, the spa and massage shop in front of the domestic terminal offers a wide variety of treatments, from foot massages to aromatherapy massages.

The transit time this time was about 4 hours✈︎ The MCT (minimum transit time) seems to be 100 minutes so I was wondering whether to leave the country and do some sightseeing, but I decided not to as I was planning to do some sightseeing in Hanoi later. Transfers▷ Because I was transferring between Vietnam Airlines flights, I moved lightly through the baggage pass🎒 However, the international transfer lane was much more crowded than I expected!! There is baggage inspection when transferring to an international flight, but there is only one inspection machine. There were a lot of passengers transferring for 2-3 flights, and the line was very long 🥲 The line for Vietnam immigration and the line for international transfers, which were right next to us, got mixed up, and we couldn't move for a while. We were lucky to be able to line up at the front, but if you're at the back of the line, you may have to wait for more than an hour. If you're transferring to an international flight at Tan Son Nhat, we recommend that you allow yourself plenty of time ⚠︎ Facilities ▷ After departure, there were several shops, cafes, and souvenir shops in the departure lobby 🛍️ Restaurants and cafes are a bit pricey at airport prices. The lounges seem to be concentrated on the third floor. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 📍Star Cafe A cafe located on the second floor of the departure lobby, near the entrance to Gate 16☕️ A coffee chain with several stores in Vietnam. The menu mainly consists of banh mi and Vietnamese coffee. Menu example▷ Coffee: $4.50 (about 680 yen) Croissant: $3.50 (about 530 yen) Banh mi: $5.90 (about 900 yen) Banh mi and coffee set: $12.10 (about 1,800 yen) It's a little pricey, but you can relax and spend the time before your transfer. Tan Son Nhat International Airport is the main airport in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and is the busiest airport in Vietnam. It is located not far from the city center, only 7 kilometers from the city center. It has complete facilities but the food and drinks in the airport are very expensive. Most importantly, the immigration here is very slow, so you should leave more time than usual. Rating - 1/10

HCMC airport is right near the city. In fact you can argue it's right in the city and it's a shirt 30 min bus ride to the city or a good 15-20 mins taxi ride depending on the traffic. It's separately in both domestic and international terminals and the 2 are connected by an outdoor covered walkway. However a word if advice, immediately in front of the domestic terminal you'll find most of the cheaper eateries. The international terminal seemed to be the newer one of the two and it was spacious clean and nice. Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat International Airport ( SGN) is the usual destination for those coming to the south of Vietnam. Tan Son Nhat airport is fairly small and although there are duty frees on sale the range is limited. The Pho dish is quite big, with lots of vegetables and side dishes. The pork is freshly purchased and prepared every day. After the Pho, vegetables and pork are put into the soup, it is very delicious 😘😘 It is really a taste of Hong Kong. The drinks include rice water, which is refreshing and special. Enjoy a meal with local culture.

This was the only lounge in operation when we were here. Fortunately, it was not very crowded. Though the lounge are is not big, there are many sitting areas and electric power plug (Vietnamese version, not universal 🔌 plug). Food: there is noodle soup available if you want some thing hot. #2023travelwish Tan Son Nhat International Airport is the largest airport in Vietnam, after the international airport terminal 2 was opened in 2007. It is located around 7 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). At the arrival hall, there is a duty free shop, a currency exchange counter (you can get a sim card) and an ATM. There are some restaurants and cafes after the arrival gate, and a few car booking counters. At the departure hall, visitors had no shortage of souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes before and after the security and passport clearance. For Star Alliance, there is no lounge for you to relax and eat, you are provided a voucher (USD 16) at Saigon Cafe Bar Kitchen to spend on it. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

Ho chi minh airport is the one of most crowded airport in vietnam. it takes 30-45 min to finish the imigration cleared. you better come 3hours before your departure time to avoid lost you flights or anything. that's my tips for you... However do note that you might have to have some patience in the custom queue as it may get long. I queued for more than an hour to get out. However if you don’t mind spending, you can buy express pass before your arrival or departure and there will be staff to take you through on another side where the queue is shorter
