It's a complex in the forest with a variety store and a cafe. I had a cake set at the cafe called ar inside the forest♪Their special tableware is cute and a treat for both the eyes and the tongue. The lunch menu is healthy and uses organic vegetables. I'd like to come here for lunch someday♪The variety store has a camping equipment store, a store selling accessories such as necklaces and clothes, and more. There are four restaurants, cafes and variety stores in this forest. We were looking for something kid-friendly around Aso and were so glad to discover Rakunoh Mother’s Aso Milk Bokujo. This spacious farm turned out to be a great find—not just for the kids, but for us adults too. One of the highlights was how hands-on the experience was. The children loved interacting with the animals—feeding, petting, and just observing them up close. There were goats, cows, and many other farm animals roaming around the grounds. The surprise of the day? A goat race! It was lively and silly fun, and we even got to place bets on which goat would win. The kids got really into it, cheering for their chosen goat. The farm itself is quite spread out, making it a nice place to stroll and explore. One area of the farm demonstrated the milking process, which was both educational and entertaining, especially for the younger ones who had never seen it before. At the entrance, there’s a little shop selling fresh milk and other dairy products made on-site. The milk was incredibly fresh and creamy—it was such a treat. It’s the kind of place where you can really taste the difference. Overall, Rakunoh Mother’s Aso Milk Bokujo was a wholesome and enjoyable stop. The kids had a blast with all the animal interactions and fun activities, and I got to enjoy some of the freshest milk I’ve had in a while. Aso, we stopped by Tawarayama Exchange Center Moenosato, which has cosmos fields and open fields. And in the mandarin orange orchard on the premises, there is a statue of Nami from One Piece! There are several places in Kumamoto's tourist spots where statues of One Piece characters have been erected as part of a reconstruction support project. One of them is Moenosato. Maybe you could make searching for One Piece character statues your travel goal? ! Moenosato Exchange Center sells locally grown vegetables, souvenirs, and light snacks at its stalls, so it's recommended to buy lunch here and enjoy a picnic! It was summer, so the flowers🌻 were blooming and it was very beautiful! There were lots of animals, including cows🐮, horses🐎 and sheep🐏 (^^) They also sold milk, which was very delicious (^^) It seems like you can try out a lot of different things, so it's a fun place to bring your kids too! Bokket is located in Nishihara Village, Kumamoto. A complex with a restaurant, select shop, winery, and architectural office that suddenly appears in the middle of a forest. Time flows slowly here, with stylish buildings in the middle of the forest. We had lunch here🍽️ We were with our children, but we could enjoy casual French food without feeling too formal. It was a good experience for the children😊 You can also take out organic bread, cakes, and fresh vegetables.
