Telok Blangah Hill Park
Telok Blangah Hill is serene and beautiful. Near this place there is an area with many beautiful huge black and white houses. Most of these bungalow houses are equipped with a nice and right size pool, huge garden and living space. It is perfect for a morning walk but not late evening walk as some of the roads does not even have street lamp. This is a tranquil living, spacious, in the south of Singapore.

A nice place to visit in 🇸🇬
About Telok Blangah Hill Park:
Aptly themed 'Recapturing the Past Splendour', Telok Blangah Hill Park has a history that few other parks can boast. This park has long been a place of gathering for trading communities since the early nineteenth century. The prosperity of the traders is symbolised by the Alkaff Mansion, an elegant colonial bungalow built by a family of Arab Traders, which used to host grand parties for the social elite.
Telok Blangah Hill Park is part of the Southern Ridges, which also comprises Mount Faber Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve.
Reference: National Parks website - Telok Blangah Hill Park
As mentioned above - Alkaff Mansion is a historical building and now became a restaurant. Before you explore the park, you may have lunch or brunch here to experience and feel an elegant colonial bungalow building.
Back to the Park:
You can come in the morning or evening to join the exercises such as taiqi and jogging with those residents who live nearby. The park is equipped with picnic tables and shaded so you are able to picnic.

The Alkaff Mansion @ Telok Blangah Hill Park
The Alkaff Mansion is sitting on Telok Blangah Hill Park. The outlook is Tudor styled and has a lovely elegant garden suitable for solemnisation. It has welcoming spaces and holding a wedding day there can create a vision of a new king and queen wedding.
Normal days it has wild seed cafe at level 1 extending to level 2 occasionally where you can dine. It serves modern all day meal. Second level as you can see in the photo is indoor and usually pack with bookings for functions.

Fantastic Walk
Having already traversed the MacRitchie Reservoir, Botanic Gardens, Bukit Timah Hill, and Treetop walks, I was not expecting any different from the Southern Ridges from what I'd already experienced. I was wrong!
This walk/hike is stunning in its scenery, wholly varied at each point, and undulating. It can cater to those out for a lazy stroll, family outing, or fitness fanatics. Plenty of rest stops available and shelter from the elements. If you wish, stop for a spot of meditation. Trails are well spread out so one doesn't feel crowded out.
I recommend starting from Telok Blangah Hill Park, across the Henderson Waves, onwards to Mount Faber, and then back. A very comfortable 45-60min brisk walk ... IF you don't get distracted with photo-taking or a drinks at Faber Point!

A Simple Forest Escape: Enjoying Nature’s Beauty at Telok Blangah Heights
#favouriteitinerary One of our favorite activities when we’re craving a peaceful nature retreat in the heart of Singapore is the forest walk at Telok Blangah Hill Park. Located along the Southern Ridges, this scenic route is the perfect escape for those days when we want to enjoy nature without committing to a long trek. While we often take the full stretch from Mount Faber to Hort Park, we love the convenience of hopping on a bus to Telok Blangah Heights for a more relaxed and shorter walk—ideal for those times when we're feeling lazy but still want to immerse ourselves in greenery.
This part of the Southern Ridges is a hidden slice of tranquility. The moment we step off the bus, we're greeted by the sweet scent of fresh air, as we’re enveloped by towering trees and thick foliage. The path winds through the elevated forest, offering a serene canopy overhead, with sunlight filtering softly through the leaves. The birds chirp merrily, and the rustling of leaves adds a soothing soundtrack to our walk. It's a sensory experience that brings a sense of calm, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The elevated walk provides a bird's-eye view of the lush landscape below, creating a feeling of immersion in nature without being too far from urban life. It’s like stepping into an oasis where the surrounding trees provide a peaceful, cool shade, creating a respite from the heat. The tranquility of the place is enhanced by the occasional glimpse of wildlife, from butterflies fluttering nearby to the sounds of distant birdsong.
While this peaceful walk is a much-needed break, we always make sure to be prepared for the local wildlife—mosquitoes and bugs are a constant companion in the lush surroundings. We never venture out without our trusty repellant stickers and sprays to keep the critters at bay. Despite the occasional nuisance, the short walk through this elevated forest remains a refreshing experience, offering a perfect escape for moments of quiet reflection and connection with nature.

Ornamental flowers at Telok blangah hill
#newyearnewtrip
During my walk at the telok blangah hill park, I spotted several beautiful plants and flowers there .There is the sun loving croton with very vibrant colours. There are red, yellow, and orange colours. There are also many different kinds of agalonema green that are placed on the soil in the ground. What's so amazing about the plants here is that you will find the Clerodendrum paniculatum, which is the pagoda red flower. The flower grows out to look like a pagoda. It is definitely a flower that you won't find at other parks in Singapore. Be sure to take a walk at the telok blangah hill to find out more.

Telok Blangah Hill Park
#newyearnewtrip
The telok blangah hill park is located 20 minutes walk away from the nearest train station. Be sure to apply some insect repellent when going here. Because there will be flies and mosquitoes around the area . There is also a fitness corner which is free entry to everyone. You can do some cardio exercises here and workout to keep yourself fit. The walkway might not be smooth. You will encounter uneven pathways. The walk is upwards of a hill, hence you might need to exert slightly more energy to go up. It can be very tiring to walk up the hill. And some parts of the walkway are steep slopes . Be careful of the oncoming vehicles along the way too.

Telok Blangah Hill Park is mostly visited by residents living nearby Telok Blangah area. They come to this tranquil and beautiful park for their morning exercise. Some would come up here with their pet birds. Terrace Garden is a favourite Wedding couple's photo shoot location. Alkaff Mansion has a rich past, (pun intended) and is now a renowned F&B and venue for wedding banquet. In the past, Telok Blangah Hill was at one time known as Thousand Buddha Hill, because the Buddhist Thousand Buddha Temple was up at the hill.
Terrace Garden used to be the site where the Temple stood. It was demolished in the eighties

🇸🇬 Terrace Garden: It feels like Spring 🌸
#wheretogo
Stumbled upon this peaceful garden while trekking towards Forest Walk. The entrance of this particular garden was very unassuming and we had to pay attention to it. However, once we walked further up the staircase, what welcomed us was a full bloom of purple, pink flowers. I guess the Lady Luck was with us! It was very dreamy to look at such scenic landscape of the garden.
