Experienced Spring in Kyoto and it was amazing! we went during this season to view cherry blossoms and we were not disappointed. The beautiful blooms were everywhere and Philosopher's Path deserves a 👍. There's not much crowd on that morning we were there. The trees lined the river and pathways perfectly as you can see here. Along the way, there's small cafes, shops and small temples/shrines. The Path of Philosophy ~ The name of this path comes from the fact that Kitaro Nishida, a professor of philosophy at Kyoto University, meditates here every day. This road passes many famous temples, and nearby is the "Ginkakuji" which is as famous as Kinkakuji. The quiet scenery is quite symmetrical with the magnificent Kinkakuji!

When you come to Kyoto, besides Toji Temple, you must also visit the Philosopher's Path in April and September. It is a must-visit place for tourists. Cherry blossoms in April and maples in September are all fascinating. No matter how you take pictures, they are like paintings. You will be so happy that you can't speak. Approximately two kilometers long, the path begins around Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion) and ends in the neighborhood of Nanzenji. The Philosopher’s Path, or Walk, is a great place to visit all year round, as the scenery offers something unique for every season. I have been dreaming to walk the #philosohersroad at #kyoto . We made it the first day during our stay at Kyoto. After 30 min bus 🚌 ride, I was amazed by how tranquil and peaceful the place is. It turned out to be couple of blocks of residential areas abundant in unique Japanese style tiny mansions and a small river running through its neighborhoods. Definitely a must-see scenic spot. Just be aware to keep your voice down and never litter.

I've visited Kyoto dozens of times, but this was my first time going to the Philosopher's Path. It was around June, so even though Kyoto is usually bustling with tourists, there weren't many people there and it felt like time was flowing slowly. The water in the river was very clear, and there were people reading books near the river, it was a place where you could forget about your daily life and feel very calm. The view would probably be completely different depending on the season, so I'd like to visit again in autumn, winter or spring. There were a few restaurants and other establishments here and there, and it was nice that they weren't crowded either.
